Show gratitude each and every day... . Know your value, know your worth . Remove thoughts that cause unhelpful feelings or actions . Use journaling to help acknowledge and release unhelpful thoughts or to celebrate your helpful thoughts and actions . Surround yourself with positive reinforcement, such as people, places, or actions to increase positive feelings . Connect to your breath throughout the day and relax thoughts and tension in the body

You know one of those days where you go home and yell at your kids and partner or your friends because something in your day got you down or rubbed you the wrong way? Everyone has had those type of days, that’s completely normal.... But what if we could use another avenue to release that emotion instead of taking it out on our loved ones? Have you ever felt angrier, sadder, or more frustrated after you’ve exercised? Especially in a team environment, where you feed off everyone else’s energy? If you have had one of those days, I challenge you tackle it a different way. Go straight to your favourite exercise class, go for a run or a walk between work and home or get straight home get changed and go out to workout. I promise you it will change your life.

04.01.2022 30 Days to form new ways Changing routines and breaking habits This week focus on WINNING the morning... - When you wake up think of one thing you are grateful for or looking forward to in your day - Drink a glass of water, don’t go straight for the coffee (habit, not necessarily needed) - Go for a walk, do some home exercises, stretch, yoga, or go to a class, find even 10 mins to move when you wake up and see how much better it makes you feel - Have a breakfast consisting of protein, fats and carbohydrates to ensure you are giving yourself body all it needs to function optimally throughout the morning Try adding one of these into your daily routine this week, and see if you notice a difference

04.01.2022 We have teamed up with the amazing nutritionist @aletheamills_nutrition to guide us through some need to knows when it comes to your nutrition DO I NEED TO EAT PRE AND POST TRAINING? It’s often a big question - do I eat before training or not? The answer is, it depends. How long is the... session? How intense is the session? Are you fuelling during the session? How do you feel when you train? Do you recover easily or do you feel fatigued post training? Getting the idea, it’s not a simple yes or no? The general answer, if the session is less than one hour and you feel great training then It may not be necessary However, and a big however, if the session involves any intensity, which let’s be honest SpinHouse often does, your body will respond better to taking on fuel prior to the session to ensure there are sufficient glycogen stores Something like a small banana, couple of fresh dates or sourdough with banana/nut butter/honey are options to have prior to training If your training sessions are hitting the one hour plus mark, yes, I’m looking at you double spinners, it is best to be fuelling prior and over the 1.5hr mark, ideally fuelling during the session too
