25.01.2022 This may be a foal worth following. :-) I love her already and this A3 ink is for a client from her photo. This may be the first in a series of this gorgeous younger as she grows up and becomes a performance horse. Warmblood and gorgeous. I'll post progress pics so you can see how I did her later.

23.01.2022 Just to let you all know this site is sleeping. Head to https://www.facebook.com/SpiritOfEquine To keep upto date. Thanks guys!!

20.01.2022 I recon this is one of the bluest horses I've done and it certainly suits him, allowing the highlights and other effects go really stand out. Im going to sleep... on this and create some greater depth in the background tomorrow as well as a few other foreground effects. The blue flowers are pretty cool in this too. And perfect balance for the lanscape effects. See more

17.01.2022 Now this is what I like to do! A grey allows for some beautiful and very subtle colour effects. This is the image I selected out of a collection of 4 sent to me by a client. It is the ideal size for a portrait and is A2. I love cream paper and my inks.... The magic I create when I can be given a collection of photos of a horse, select the one I love and then work on it, layering and blending, moving around pools of colour and finding ever more jnfinite variety in the blues and Sienna's I use for this piece. Using years of challenging striving for excellence as an equine artist to build an image so it comes to life in Aus that a photo will never achieve. I don't know about you, but I LOVE what I can do as an artist. Thanks for supporting my career so I can dedicate all my days to doing this.

12.01.2022 Recent A2 ink completed for a client, along with the tools of trade. This is my much loved workbench, built by my husband Gary, based on Sequoia's design and the first of our recycled Galvanised pipe and Oregon benches.

06.01.2022 Especially for my overseas fans, a sneak peek before I share it further tomorrow. This is a nice big ink - 58cm x78cm, Inspired by the photography of Ana Marta Loura. She rarely lets artists use her work as she is a professional photographer, but is generously allowing me permission to use one of my favourite photos. It is B&W which is one of the things which drew me to this image, along with the beautiful symmetry and light of the photo. A big job, so watch this space as the journey unfolds.
