24.01.2022 SpiritAbility are looking for 10 confident, reliable and passionate individuals to join our team in Orange NSW. 10 - 20 hrs in the beginning with stable and consistent hours long term. Casual employment with the opportunity for more stable employment in the future. Our carers must love what they do and want to make a difference to someone’s quality of life. To be suitable for this role you will need: A genuine desire to support a high quality of life that is inclusive, fun a...nd works towards our clients goals and life choices. Certificate in Disability or equivalent completed or working towards. Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills Current driver's License Current First Aid certificate with CPR (mandatory) or willingness to obtain (we will provide this) Current Police Check (mandatory) Working with Children Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check (mandatory) Show up being energetic and passionate of what the day brings Work as part of a team whilst also working alone at times and working within the clients family Be a thinker, a motivator, problem solver, show self-drive and initiative and have outstanding level of common sense Responsibilities include: Range of Movement Exercises Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation) Implementation of daily therapy programs Assist with social outings and attend sporting events Respite and over night support To find out more you can message us directly or; Send your resume to [email protected]

Every year has a core value - this year is Building Back Better: toward a disability-inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 World The Morrison Government partnered with ABC today to promote this day, with people who live with a disability pres...ent on the network, or have programs produced by those who have a disability. Minister for Families and Social Services Anne Ruston said "We are hoping to empower Australians with disability to pursue their career goals and highlight that they can be valuable employees to any organisation."
