22.01.2022 We had another sweet @airbnb couple last wknd. Heres what they had to say about their stay.. My partner and I had the most wonderful anniversary weekend at SOTR. We couldnt recommend it highly enough. The property is absolutely stunning - we really enjoyed our time and exploring and having sunset picnics on the hill. 20.01.2022 Sweet memories & words from @mariahwasher & Cody Spirit of the Rainforest is a stay that we will never forget! Julie and Caitlin made our experience seem one of a kind. Having no WiFi and cell signal was such a stark difference from our city life and we LOVED it. The 100 acres of land has many different types of areas to explore from their little orchard, animal paddocks and walking trails in the forest. We did our best to explore most of it in the full day and two nigh...ts we had there but honestly wished we had more time! So if you can book for more than two nights then that would be ideal! Julie and Caitlin were stellar hosts. On arrival we were greeted by Caitlin and given a mini tour and introduction and the next day we were able to spend time with their horses and many dogs and they even went above and beyond to set up a fire for us for our sunset picnic. It was our 5 year anniversary so this was the cherry on top for our experience! The love they have for the land and wildlife is something to learn from and going there is an educational experience that is worth having. See more

02.01.2022 6 months on & it feels like the world has forgotten the terror & destruction of the bushfires as the fear of COVID rippled in... walking along the high ridge lines of our place reveals intensely damaged forest as far as the eye can see. Every single tree burned to the crown. Still very little foliage. Old trees incinerated. Soil baked. To cut down perfectly good unburnt forests such as the Nambucca State Forest, when our hinterland has experienced this level of ecological trauma.. is purely criminal.
