23.01.2022 We wish all of our families a safe and happy Easter for those who celebrate. This has been a challenging few months for all of us and we hope that you are all staying safe and healthy across this long weekend. Stay home and stay safe. We can get through this together

22.01.2022 There is light at the end of the stage 4 tunnel! We are monitoring the government announcements closely and developing a plan for returning to the pool later this year or next year. At this stage it is looking like we will be one of the very last businesses to re-open. We will update you as things change and once we have a possible date for re-opening. This date will be dependent on the pool we operate out of being open to the public again and our model of service will be de...pendent on their guidelines. Please note that even once pools are re-opened there will be a period in which we must still remain closed while we complete relevant consultation with the pools. This is to ensure that we are complying with all COVID-safe plans in place and to ensure that we are able to maintain our operations. As always, we are happy to help in any way we can so please get in touch with us if you have any questions or concerns. Take care and stay safe, Splash Ability

21.01.2022 Before a child can develop their skills in the water they need to feel safe and confident in the water. Targeted water play during therapy can support children to develop confidence in the water, support their sensory processing, and importantly, to build trust. A solid foundation leads to greater skills development in the future. Do you know of anyone who could benefit from water therapy to increase confidence in water? Feel free to get in touch with us to find out if we could help. Like our page for ongoing updates.

18.01.2022 Update regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus: At Splash Ability we value the health and well-being of all of our families. We are currently planning on continuing our services from Sunday 29th. We do ask that if anybody in the household has been unwell, come in contact with someone unwell (any illness), or travelled overseas recently that you please cancel our session.... If anyone wishes to cancel or suspend services we will hold your preferred days/time for as long as this virus is a concern. Additionally, we are only able to operate while the pools are open. If any of the pools we are currently working out of closes or restricts services we will unfortunately be forced to close. We will provide updates as more information is known. Stay safe

13.01.2022 To all of our wonderful families and supporters we wanted to give an update. We hope you have all been staying safe and healthy and we are hoping that it will be safe to recommence services again. We appreciate your patience and support during this challenging time and we sincerely hope that you are all safe and well during this time. Some pools are beginning to open from next week (after reconditioning the pools), however this is for lap swimmers and solo exercisers. We ar...e not yet open. We are watching the situation closely and will determine when we are allowed to resume our services and begin the process of recommencing services when we think it is safe to do so. When we do recommence, our service may look different to what it previously has, but we are working hard trying to plan the smoothest possible return when it is safe to do so. Stay safe

13.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 situation we have made the difficult decision to remain closed until at least the end of term 3. We have been working hard on our reopening plan but have unfortunately had to postpone this again. Many of the suburbs we have been operating out of are currently in lockdown and we do not know what the situation will look like after lockdown has been lifted. We have made this decision because we do not want to place the health ...and safety of our families or staff at risk, and the situation has been changing rapidly. We apologise for the inconvenience and we thank you all for the ongoing support during these challenging times. We will be reviewing our options for re-opening in the September/October school holidays. We hope that we will be able to start seeing your wonderful smiling faces again in term 4.

11.01.2022 Check out this amazing post about the benefits of water and water-based therapy services for those with ASD and other abilities. Autsim Swim is a wonderful resource for those interested in water safety and prevention of drowning in people with ASD. Our OT is Autism Swim Approved. https://autismswim.com.au//some-of-the-many-benefits-of-s/

07.01.2022 I agree with this wholeheartedly. We are all different and facing different challenges. ALWAYS try to focus on the forward movement (progress) and not the speed at which it occurs. This is especially important at times like this when many of us (adults and children) are facing more challenges than usual and the progress may be slower than we would hope or expect. ... Stay positive!

05.01.2022 About time this one did the rounds again. The undeniable power, beauty and transforming qualities of water! . . . .... . #autismswim #h20 #water #watertherapy See more

05.01.2022 We will be on leave from this Saturday 14th March and will be returning Sunday 29th March. We hope you all stay safe and well while we recharge our batteries. We look forward to seeing you all back again in a couple of weeks and in the meantime please be patient if it takes us a little longer to respond to phone calls, messages and emails.

03.01.2022 Children are individuals and they have individual needs. If skills are not taught in a way that helps a child learn it is not the childs fault and the adult is the one who needs a new approach. At Splash Ability we use a childs strengths to help them learn the skills they find challenging. We teach skills in an individualized way to help our children learn and engage in our services

03.01.2022 COVID-19 update: The situation regarding Covid-19 is changing rapidly and in the interest of safety for our clients, staff and the broader community alongside health and government advice we have made the decision to suspend all services until advised that it is safe to return. We will ensure that our existing clients are able to keep their current session days and times when we do resume.... From the team at Splash Ability we hope you all stay safe and healthy
