25.01.2022 Evening Splendid Spuds Supporters, I hope you are all doing well, I have a couple of specials this week, slow cooked Lamb Shanks with a garlic and herb sauce, I pull apart the meat from the bone and put it on a spud with the sauce $12 this includes butter or sour cream and cheese. The other is a slow cooked chicken curry with butter or sour cream with cheese $10. The shop has been a little quiet of late but now with the weather changing I am sure to see you all soon. Enjoy your weekend and remember we are open from 11am to 9pm Friday, Saturday and 11.00am to 8pm Sunday so pop in and say hello, take care. Veronica

We are now a week into the new year and my team and I are getting a little excited as we are going to have our airconditioner put in on Friday, so when you come in you will now be served in great comfort, and you can even dine in and be comfortable. We at the shop have been trying a few different things with the good old spud and now we are ready to present some different ideas so pop in and try them. I am still making the slices as they have been quite popular and also the roast lamb. I have made some mini sweet potatoe pies which have turned out good, also some new desserts, one in particular is a vanilla custard and strawberry jam mini pie. I am venturing into new territory with some recipes VEGAN and I must say there is a lot of products out there that I had no idea about. I have sourced out a great rep for introducing me to some products and I have had a couple of lovely ladies who have given me some great ideas too. I am going to cook a Vegan Tuna Mornay in the next couple of days, so if you are a Vegan or Lactose int...olerate please pop in and ask if I have any made and try it. Remember if you have any dietary issues please feel free to ask me if we have any toppings that are acceptable to your needs. I mentioned earlier I was going to do some new weekly specials well they went off like "Hot Potatoes" the specials were Roast Lamb with either Lamb and Rosemary gravy or mint sauce, a sweet potoato slice with grated carrot, mushrooms, tomato, baby spinach. 10.01.2022 Evening Splendid Spuds Supporters I hope you are all staying warm and dry as the winter is now here. I have done a new topping for that cold evening and tested it on my family they are quite happy with it. I have done silverside (corn beef), with cabbage and carrots topped with a creamy white mustard sauce. I am going to have this one available over the weekend so pop in for a winter warmer and tell me what you think. Remember we do have some good hot toppings to keep you warm over the winter. 06.01.2022 Evening Splendid Spuds supporters, I am sure you are all aware that we use Ubereats for our deliveries, I would like to mention that on the rare occassion when your order comes to us we may have sold out of the product you have ordered, when this happens we try to call you and message you to advice you of this and ask if we can suggest another topping, we generally wait for 10 minutes for a response and on most occassions the Uber driver is happy to wait for your order to be ...completed, on the very rare occassions the driver can not wait as he/she may have other orders to collect, when this occurs we try our best to fulfil the order and send it off (I must assure you this has only happened once). My staff and I have always had a quick response from you and we thank you for this. On another note, the warmer weather has come around and a refreshing Tropical spud or grilled bacon with salad seems to be the popular choice, so why not come in pick up a spud and enjoy, don't worry about leaving work going to a hot house and start cooking let us do it for you.
