21.01.2022 Crummunda Park, Coongarra Esplanade, Wurtulla Sunday 8 December 2019 4pm 8pm Once again, the festive community event 'Lights on the Lake' will take place on the shores of Lake Currimundi in Crummunda Park, Wurtulla. The fun will start at 4pm with music and entertainment all afternoon and evening and supervised activities for children occur from 4 6pm. Come and try your hand beating out a rhythm in the free drumming circle.... Treat yourself and your children to some great food with plenty of tasty choices. Come along with a group of friends or bring your families with a picnic blanket and hamper to set up on the grass and watch the fun on stage or on the bank of the Lake. Enjoy the water parade of decorated and lit kayaks and canoes from dusk. There will be arts and crafts stalls featuring affordable and original work from local artists. If you have trouble finding just the right gift for the person who has everything, you’re sure to find something interesting from the range of unique, handcrafted gifts on offer. It’s a chance to do your Christmas shopping while supporting local artists. Santa will arrive from across the lake around 6pm before the dazzling water parade of kayaks and canoes festooned with Christmas lights and decorations commences as darkness falls. 20.01.2022 Horizon Festival of Arts & Culture :- 23 August to 1 September Each year the festival brings together all mediums of art including film, comedy, poetry, creative writing, music, performance and innovative new designs to create a unique event on the Sunshine Coast. Visitors can come along to simply view and enjoy the artworks on display, or can join in on one of the many scheduled workshops, talks or presentations.
