Sponsors certainly have and jumped at the opportunity to support SPL become bigger and better than ever!... Now’s your chance to as well! By putting in your Alpha Fantasy Team not only gives you a chance to win the $300 prize at the end of it, but it also gives all the sponsors more bang for their buck! Meaning in future seasons, SPL will only grow thanks to all our valuable contributions along the way. It only takes 10 minutes to create your team. 12.01.2022 TRADE PERIOD GUIDELINES TRADE WINDOWS - There will be 2 trade windows:... Trade Window 1 9am Wednesday 9th Oct to 12pm Saturday 12th Oct Here you will only be able to trade with other captains in the APL. Trade Window 2 12pm Saturday 12th to 5pm Sunday 13th If you successfully complete 1 trade in Window 1, you become eligible to pick up other plays outside of the APL. All players outside of the APL will be valued by the APL committee. Should you not make a trade in the first window, you cannot make any trades at all. $500k INJECTION - You have been given an additional $500k to trade with - You must remain within the salary cap limit of $10,500,000 RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: Trades are UNLIMITED - You must have between 9 and 12 players on your roster - Multi-team trades are allowed (three-team trades etc) - Multi-player trades are allowed (trading two players for two others etc) - Players can be Traded for CASH - Player values do not change, whatever they have been auctioned/bought for remain - The left over money from the auction night can be used - Both Captains must agree on the trade and APL Commission approves the trade. - All traded players can debut for their new team from Monday 14th October onwards - Captains must communicate trades or questions via WHATSAPP or TEXT to either: Pav (0412 157 808), Bhargav (0426 270 136) or Anil (0413 313 603) Pete will ratify the final trade to allow it to officially go through. - Please respect the trade rules and enjoy the chaos that is about to unfold!

What a finish for the inaugural APL season with 4 teams biting their nails right up to the very last game! *FANTASY UPDATE*... For those of you who have been doing the APL Fantasy competition, we have decided to extend it right through the finals series. You will now be allowed to transfer 3 people for this weeks finals games. So keep at it!

04.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS!! As many of you may have heard we are launching our inaugural Alpha Premier League marquee event. This event will create a fierce contest on the pitch. However, don't think we have forgotten about everyone that can't participate! Introducing SPL's first ever FANTASY LEAGUE!... This fantasy league is STRICTLY for everyone that is NOT participating in the Alpha Premier League! We will be strictly enforcing this rule!! (It will result in a disqualification) The rules are simple and they are found on the website. Click on the link below and register your team today. NOTE: 1 team per person is allowed to register (again failure to comply will result in disqualification) The first Alpha Premier League will start on Monday 16th September so get cracking and create your team today! You have until Sunday 15th September 9am for unlimited trades if you are unhappy with who you've selected. After 9am you can only swap 1 person for the week! So choose carefully! You can enter your team at any point but if you miss the Sunday 15th 9am deadline it just means you have to stick with the team you select and can only trade 1 person a week from there on in! Well due to high demand we have decided to let this happen! Cup grade players can now join in and try win the prize money too! However the catch is you're all 1 round behind. 02.01.2022 MID SEASON TRADE PERIOD After the explosive start to HPL, The SPL Commission has rocked the HPL landscape, mimicking the AFL with the introduction of the mid-season trade period. When asked why the Commission decided to introduce it, they responded with the following: ‘Trades allow teams who have started poorly to fix their drafting/auctioning setbacks and bring balance into the team. With players showcasing their talents, it gives an opportunity for teams to set their sight...s on players who they think could benefit their teams. From a player’s point of view, it also gives a player an opportunity to request a trade to a team where they believe they can seek greater opportunities’ In another bombshell, the SPL Commission has increased the Salary cap from $3,500,000 to $4,000,000. When asked why the Commissioner explained that ‘with the additional $500,000 in cash, it allows teams to pull off some franchise changing trades which may include multi-team (3 or 4 team trades) or multi-player trades (2 or 3 players traded out from one team) to accommodate team structures.’ The SPL Commission has summarised the HPL Trading guidelines below: Trade Period: Thursday 29th Aug 5pm - Saturday 31st Aug 12pm - Trades are UNLIMITED - You must remain within the salary cap limit of $4,000,000 (you have been given an extra $500,000) - You must have between 7 - 10 players on your roster - In the second week, you can play a min of 6 players (this brings in trading in absorbing contracts for unavailable players if required) - Multi-team trades are allowed (three-team trades etc) - Multi-player trades are allowed (trading two players for two others etc) - Players can be Traded for CASH - Player values do not change, whatever they have been auctioned/bought for, they remain - Left over money from Auction/Draft night can be used - Both Captains must agree on trade and SPL Commission ticks off trade - Captains must communicate trade to either Pav or Peter via any platform - All traded players can debut for their new team from Sunday 1st Sept onwards - New players must play a total of 1 game to qualify for finals (either on old team, new team or old/new team) - Teams are allowed to buy any player external to the ones registered for HPL as long as they have been registered for SPL in 2019. All players have been valued and captains will have to enquire regarding the value of the player and fit them in their salary cap. - Any other questions, please contact Pete or Pav - Please respect the trade rules and enjoy the chaos that is about to unfold!

Woolrich White Walkers going into round 3 undefeated and really making a statement on the competition! For those curious about fantasy league, this is the ladder after round 2 (including cup grade players who have now entered the competition)
