09.05.2022 Over the weekend, we had two players in Nic Bailey and Dan Franklin hit significant milestones in their SPOC Football careers, and we’d just like to celebrate this achievement one more time. Nic (300 games) and Dan (200 games) capped off a great day as they were named in the D grade’s best players. 09.01.2022 Signing HE’S BACK. We are pleased to announce the return of Jake Stafford to SPOC for Season 2021. ... The man affectionately known as ‘The Tank’ last played at the club in 2018 before moving back home in the South East to help steer North Gambier FC to an A Grade Premiership in 2019. For those not familiar with Jake he’s a St Peter’s Old Scholar who played both juniors and seniors at Glenelg Football Club whilst at school and is certain to cause headaches for opposition defenders next year. He’s now back in Adelaide full time living with skipper Harry Hayward (pictured) and we’re excited to have him back at The Caterer. Welcome back Jake.

03.01.2022 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT It’s with great pleasure that we can announce the appointment of Simon Krieg as our new C Grade Coach for Season 2021. Simon comes to us having spent some time at Sturt FC and the last 6 seasons at Glenelg FC in the SANFL, holding various roles from working with the Under 18s to more recently as a Game Day Assistant for the Reserves and League teams and was involved in their 2019 Premiership. Having worked with and under some very experienced SANFL coaches in his time plus being a qualified Teacher by trade, Simon will prove an invaluable asset and mentor for our young developing players. He’s super excited to get into it and can’t wait to meet everyone once we’re back to some normality. We welcome him to the SPOC community.

02.01.2022 The Club would like to heartily congratulate the following SPOC winners, who were recognised at the Adelaide Football League Awards 2020 last night. All of them richly deserve the recognition and we are proud of them and their achievements. Special mention to our Coach Geoff Riddle who has thrown his heart and soul at his job over the last 12 months and the Committee and all the players would want to thank him too for what he is doing for our football Club. Go the Riddler!... Adelaide Football League Coach of the Year - Geoff Riddle Division 1 Team of the Year Captain - Jesse O'Brien Division 1 Team of the Year Players - James Hargreaves, Jock McLeay, John Vrodos Division 1 Medal Runner Up - Jesse O'Brien Division 1 Reserves Medal Runner Up - Sam Stott Onwards and upwards for Saturday, with much unfinished business ahead of us in A's, B's and D's. Fixtures will be posted shortly.
02.01.2022 Signing It’s always great when we get old scholars returning to the club. We’ve got 2 fantastic 2019 First XVIII players, Sam Potter and Will Montgomery, both committing to SPOC for Season 2021. SAM POTTER - Is a promising Ruckman from Glenelg FC who lead the whole competition in hit outs in the SANFL U18s this season. More recently Sam lead the ruck duties in the NAB All Stars SANFL Futures game which showcases the best young talent in the state. We’re very excited to h...ave Sam onboard to bolster our big man department and welcome him and his family to SPOC. WILL MONTGOMERY - Is a former Norwood junior with a lot of talent seeing him play First XVIII as a year 10 at school. Standing at 188cm Will is a utility that can play at either end of the ground and will give us some much needed flexibility. Having played Division 2 with Glenunga this season we can’t wait to see what impact he can have on this competition and welcome him and his family back to SPOC.
