25.01.2022 The good news is Gucci is home tonight, the only reason being he wouldnt eat or drink anything for the staff and was very unhappy in his cage. The bad news is he is still a sick little dog and has to go back for more blood tests and a urine test. The Vet has put him on a renal diet so we hope we can get him to eat it, failing that we will just cook his meals according to recipes set out for kidney disease. We are hoping we are on the right track. If not he will be having X-rays and scans. It is very worrying.

20.01.2022 Our beautiful little 13.5yo dachshunds, Selma went under emergency surgery yesterday to remove her spleen which had a ruptured tumor on it. She is home now and recovering. We were very luck to get onto it so soon.

19.01.2022 We dont have any good news about Gucci. He has had X-rays and more bloods done and there is no improvement. His kidneys are at about 15% Not good. We have started him on Vetace and Axit once daily and can only pray that these may help. The other option is out of the question. Please keep Gucci in your prayers

18.01.2022 Gisborne Market day tomorrow, hope to see you there. We only have two more markets this year as we dont do the summer markets and wont be back until March 2020. If you wish to purchase anything for your pooch please remember to do measurements before coming. Remember dogs are not welcome at the Gisborne Market. We are hoping for a nice day.

18.01.2022 Gucci is still in hospital. We are looking at kidney disease. He is still on a drip as he was dangerously dehydrated. He ate a very little bit of chicken tonight, had a few laps of water and I was able to take him outside for a wee. More blood tests tomorrow to see just where the enzymes sit. We have everything crossed at the moment that this will be able to be managed. We may know more tomorrow.

16.01.2022 Well its been a while since we saw you all at the Gisborne Olde Time Market and unfortunately we are not going to be at the March market as I had a bad fall, broke my arm, sprained my ankle and tore the tendon in my arm so have been out of action. We are now looking at the April market. My apologies. Dawn

15.01.2022 An update on Gucci. He seemed a bit brighter this morning after having a fairly good meal last night and not vomiting it up. He is on medication to improve the blood supply and another to induce him to eat. Today we visited Dr ORiordan where he had acupuncture and a victim B injection. He has come home on special medicine, vitamin B Complex and fish oil. We are hopeful for a good outcome. I would like to thank everyone for their well wishes. He has an appointment on Monday with our vet and back to Dr ORiordan next Friday. The poor little bloke looks very tired after his day out.

14.01.2022 This is our beautiful 12 year old boy Paddy sunning himself. A week ago today Paddy became very unwell, after two visits to our local vet, blood tests, exrays etc we took him to U Vet Werribee. Yesterday he had a spinal tap and a neurological MRI, his diagnosis was a stroke it is just a matter of total care and unconditional love now to nurse him back to good health. Please keep him in your thoughts.

04.01.2022 Tomorrow is the Gisborne Olde Time Market. This is a market for everyone with so many stalls. If you are shopping for clothing for your pooch please drop into our stall but remember to MEASURE your dog before you come. Although we do returns and or refunds it is very disappointing to get home and find it doesnt fit. The measurements for Pippa were sent from Hobart and doesnt she look good
