20.01.2022 I'm an adventurous single mum of four who has decided to travel around Australia and share our adventures, experiences, trials, errors and hurdles. We have always been an active, outdoors family that enjoys camping, fishing, sport, good food and great company. Travel has always been a passion and something I've desired but did things a little backwards in life that's prevented it....but that is perfectly fine, I have four super heros instead. In doing things backwards my ch...ildren have a young at heart, energetic, full of life crazy mumma bear! Making the decision to pack up and travel is something that came to us really...and I honestly believe things happen for a reason. I found a secondhand camper trailer at a really great price...$1000 actually. Was I looking to buy a camper??? Not at all...but we did! A little out dated but I seen potential and it quickly turned into a project I took on with the kids. We transformed it into something magical and named her 'Gypsy Girl'. We were saving for a house of our own when I had an accident that resulted in a broken back (nothing major...im all good), fair bit of time off work. This is where we blew the best part of our savings on a fair bit of local travel (abiding to Corona restrictions of course). We had a blast though....we fed dolphins, went horse riding, ran down sand dunes, hired boats to go fishing...we had an absolute blast enjoying the company of friends and family along the way! I returned to work and shortly after found myself technically homeless....if you consider it that. We were staying with a friend while applying for rentals. In the mixed of the Corona Viris pandemic rentals had increased in value and the demand was ridiculous. Being a single parent I didnt even get a look in. We applied for emergency housing to have little to no understanding as to why I couldn't find a house seems I had a secure job and good rental history. The frustration of my reality lead me to look outside the box. And this is where the decision to travel as a family came about. I'm currently in the planning stage of wrapping my head around how it will work, finances, buying and selling cars, working away, selling furniture, finding out about home schooling and everything else to prepare for the trip of a life time.
