23.01.2022 I just got my TEXA diagnostic computer up & running again. I can once again clear fault codes & turn off those annoying service spanners on any model bike with an electronic brain.

22.01.2022 Pirelli have got a sweet deal that will interest anyone heading to Phillip Island for Superbikes in February: Purchase a pair of Pirelli Rosso 3, Rosso 2, Angel GT or Angel ST radials between now & Feb 17 2017 & you can claim a free 3 day World Superbike Paddock Pass valued at $250 free of charge. There's a limited amount up for grabs so don't miss out!

21.01.2022 Here's a bit of a rarity we had in last week - a very tidy 1987 Bimota YB5. Only 208 were made & it is powered by a Yamaha FJ1200 engine. Very fast & very stable for it's day, also very expensive! At the time you could probably buy three GSXR750's and have money left over for a pair of tyres! Like anything exclusive you pay the price.

17.01.2022 I have had the new dyno system up & running for a few weeks now. Had a few teething problems - mostly operator error, but it's going great now. The biggest problem has been getting comfortable with the new interfaces. I backed up the old system which had almost 31,000 runs logged over 18 years so you could say I was a bit set in my ways! The new R/T system is quite different & offers a lot more ways to gather & interpret information than the software it replaces, but on the ...whole it's going to be a more efficient way to tune. Whether it's a cruiser or a sportsbike, road or race - we've got it all covered with a variety of tuning solutions. Jamie@Sportcycles

15.01.2022 Merry Xmas from everyone at Sportcycles! Thanks to you all for your support in our 21st year of business. We're back on deck on the 5th of January & look forward to making your bikes safer & faster! Check out some Xmas carols to get you in the mood. Rock On! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3eVnsMC6Oc

12.01.2022 Here's one for Harry - I know your out there. Put some colour in Brendans pipes yesterday with a Powercommander 5 & individual fuel maps (Front/rear cylinders) No real power gain (Like it needs it!) but much better air/fuel ratios & cleaner throttle response. Much easier to ride as it's been a bit of a handful (163 HP/102 Ft/Lb Rear wheel) Sounds as good as it looks.

10.01.2022 I've been keeping very busy lately playing with Woolich Racing ECU flashing software - over the last couple of years it has proven to be a very useful addition to the range of tuning products we offer. There are more & more Japanes models being covered by their products & lots of really cool features. The most popular add-ons are quick-shifters (for up shifts) & auto blippers (for down shifts) where applicable. The software's ability to manipulate fuel & ignition tables plu...s a variety of sensors & limiters within the ECU is resulting in some good power figures & very smooth throttle response. I just wheeled Jarrods 2017 Z900 off the dyno & the bike is an absolute hoot to ride! With a WRT quickshifter & ECU rewrite it made 130 hp at the back wheel with a nice flat torque curve to match. Check out woolichracing.com to see if your bike is listed & call Ali for a quote on 02 4943 2030

09.01.2022 Serviced our first Triumph Thruxton "R" 1200 this morning, I know Andy & I are biased - but what a machine! The level of finish is superb & it sounds unreal. I got to take it for a short spin around our test circuit & was really impressed by how good it is straight out of the box - I could have easily kept on riding. Thanks Dave.

09.01.2022 Something a bit different...... MNR Vortx kit car from UK. Runs a 2006 Yamaha R1 motor. Sorted out the tuning with a powercommander on Glen's dyno next door at Gforce. Made 145 HP at rear wheels & weighs 440kg with fuel. Have to be the most fun you could have with... your pants on!! See more

09.01.2022 Santa came early. Just about to gut the dyno & install the latest digital hardware upgrade from Dynojet Dynoware RT & Winpep 8 software has a much higher sampling rate than the current analog configuration along with better control of the dyno brake & will interface better with our tuning products. Hopefully it will be up & running on Monday & I'll be able to give you a run down. Giddy up!

05.01.2022 I've been pretty slack with postings. Plenty has been happening since I was last on. We passed another milestone last week - sales invoice #20 000! That's TWENTY THOUSAND jobs in 21 years!

05.01.2022 I've finally got something to brag about........... We've been helping Paul Cox from Singleton set up a fairly standard 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa for the annual speed trials at Lake Gairdner in South Australia. He dropped the official papers in today - 200.591 mph!!!... It rained the night before his attempt, so he could have possibly gone faster if the salt was dry, but 200 mph is 200 mph! The bike was fitted with a Yoshimura 4-2-1 exhaust system, Factory pro billet velocity stacks, K&N air filter & adjustable cam sprockets. We spent quite a bit of time on the dyno with a combination of WRT software & a Power commander 5 for the final fuel trims. We are absolutely stoked with the end result. Gearing played a big part in the end & the motor was revving at 11 200 rpm @ 200 mph with a bit more to go. Paul worked super hard at the salt & is happy to tick the achievement off his bucket list - not bad for 60 years old! He is only the third rookie to go over 200 mph first time at the meeting. Congrats to Paul from all of us here at Sportcycles. Next project - Get Woody's Busa into the 9's...........!

04.01.2022 Every now & then something turns up that is uber cool! I've been helping Glen out with his 1977 Honda 750 Cafe Racer. I fitted an electronic ignition, sorted out the jetting & trued the rims. It now sounds & goes as good as it looks with a blistering 56HP.... The bulk of the build was done by Downside Custom in Wickham & the quality of finish & attention to detail is impressive to say the least. Check out www.downsidecustom.com for a blog on the build. Nice one guys!
