25.01.2022 Morning everyone! Don’t forget to contact me today if you wish to enrol your child in the 5 week Multisport or Tennis Hot Shots program at Aqualink, Box Hill. We start this Sunday. This is the only block of sessions we are organising for 2020 to help us reconnect after many months of lockdown.

25.01.2022 Roger Federer makes it look so easy. Always great to watch a champion practice! https://www.instagram.com/p/CFHuftmAAzu/?igshid=id387xi1hped

23.01.2022 A forehand, backhand, volley, smash, lob, slice or ?????? its your call! Training for 3-8 year olds starts July 11th @doncastereast, @AqualinkBoxhill and @sportlinkvermontsouth. Limited spots. Enrol now @sportekakids.com.au.

22.01.2022 Perfect weather before the heat at Lorne beach! Hope you are able to fit in a few days of a hard earned break in the fresh air after Melbourne’s endless lockdowns.

21.01.2022 Throwback to a time when David moved from an indoor 3 metre net to an an outdoor Tennis court and started to focus on hitting low to high for more than one or two times! Exciting milestone for this beginner @aqualinkboxhill courts, Melbourne! Hoping to resume classes next term.

20.01.2022 Fir some extra fun, put a line between you and your child at home and throw a ball, low to high to each other! For a challenge try throwing one ball each and catching it after one bounce.

20.01.2022 Roger Federer discovers a use for a Tennis racquet other then winning matches as he travels on the snow with British former SAS serviceman, survival instructor and adventurer Bear Grylls.

20.01.2022 A new Tennis class and a new group of Sporteka stars learning a major fundamental of tennis play. Keep your eye on the ball! ie balance egg on the spoon and don’t crack the egg.

19.01.2022 Work out time! https://www.instagram.com/p/CEsX2aLgGwf/

19.01.2022 Parents need to have fun too!

18.01.2022 Get one ball and show us what you can do! Can you hold it up then bring it down, take it to the left and then to the right and move it all around?

17.01.2022 Unfortunately, our Term 3 Sporteka classes planned to start this morning must be put on hold in respect of the public health directives to help manage the COVID-19 pandemic. Hope to see everyone back in class after the 6 week lockdown. Hope you can make time to enjoy some fun indoor and outdoor activities around your home.

17.01.2022 Heres a throwback to little Ryan trying to balance and strike the Tennia ball at the same time. What are the main points you need think about when hitting a forehand strike to ensure the ball goes over the net and inside the court?

17.01.2022 Did you know, ball and racquet games go back over 2,000 years but tennis as we know it became popular in the late 1800 s. Tennis is based on an early version played by English and French aristocracy in the 12th century. Now everyone, young or old, has a chance to enjoy the game, indoors or outdoors

16.01.2022 Pre Covid-19 Fun and Sharing @ Melbourne Park 2020. Wondering what 2021 Kids Day will look like.

16.01.2022 Its a long way to the top if you wish to excel in any sport! But champions believe they can. You learn from losses and mistakes and discover that setting goals is a great way to stay on track and improve your game! Destanee Aiava set a goal at the age of 9 - to win the Australian Open. Shes on her way. Tennis champions like Federer also set goals to get back to the top! Whatever your goal in the sport you choose, have fun and enjoy and as Destanee says success comes from believing. She is proof that dreams can come true. At sporteka, children begin their journey at the age of 2. As they start to talk they can say Sporteka kids can! A great mindset to set them on the path to success!

16.01.2022 5 year old Dean Xue accepts and completes the challenge of hitting every ball over the net - no misses. Great effort having just returned to play after 8 months of lockdown. Love your focus Dean. Always striving to improve!

16.01.2022 Now S is ready to play and today is the day! With the letter S we think of strike as a fundamental motor skill. What Sports do you use strike in? Are you practicing any sport right now that involves this motor skill?

16.01.2022 Sporteka Kids Can! At Sporteka kids develop high self belief coz they can Kick, Strike and Catch and do a whole lot more than the KSC of sport

The circle might look a lot larger when were back in class but Team Sporteka will always find a way to have fun, learn and grow! Stay safe Melbourne and lets use that team spirit to help Victoria ease restrictions so were back in action soon. We can do it!

12.01.2022 This is 2 year old Paxton’s way of ensuring the egg is safely balanced on the spoon. Haha Just stared 2 weeks ago, Paxton proves that Sporteka Kids Can Great effort Paxton!

12.01.2022 What a shot! Missing those active days. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDiG5D9JJNQ/

12.01.2022 What can you do with just one ball? Can you bounce, catch, throw or roll? May be you can also kick, stop and balance on your hand or toe? Many clever things you can do with only one ball, BIG or small! Today at home, practice these skills and let me know if you can think of any more!

11.01.2022 Does the cold Tennis ball or warm one bounce higher? Come to think of it, do you see any difference between how the blue and red Tennis Hot Shots balls bounce and between them and the orange ball? How about the bounce of the orange and green balls ... are they different from the yellow ball champions play with? Ever put all this to the test?

11.01.2022 Since returning to sport, we conducted our Multisport and Tennis Hot Shots programs from only one venue and on only one day... Aqualink, on Sundays. This is happening under restrictions. 07.01.2022 Aussie Rules football is one of the sports kids learn in the Sporteka Multisport program. Coach shereen is on holidays but is getting ready for 2021 season by practicing the ball bounce. A bit tricky but why not have a go and tell us how YOU go!

07.01.2022 Sometime back, we played teams and learnt to tackle and kick goals with coach Tiarnie. Now, we can still practice kicking inside our home or in the park with family. Do you know what type of kick this is? Its called a Drop punt The idea is that you contact the ball on its end, so that it rotates around its midpoint end over end. Apparently this style of kicking is meant to be the most accurate of kicks, and is most commonly used in Aussie rules footy. Have you practiced the punt lately. Its one of the fundamentals of sport.

07.01.2022 Almost a week of fun and mixed weather @ lornebeach and soon it’ll be time to answer all your emails and allocate classes to Sporteka kids @heimatcentredoncastereast, pineslearningandactivitycentre, aqualinkboxhill, Sportlinkboxhill. 06.01.2022 Throwback to our talented Violet, a focused 2 year old Tennis beginner who impressed us with her listening skills and readiness to have a go. You can also help your child start learning Tennis at home. Begin with a bounce and catch of big ball, small ball then bounce and hit with racquet or palm of hand. Before you know it, theyre now developing the skill of the forehand strike. Let me know how you go!

04.01.2022 Throwback to hockey time at Sporteka Multisport, Doncaster East! Lots of fun as children learn to follow the ball with their eyes, stop it and score goals with a hockey stick! Hoping for a return to these fun times again soon. In the meantime, think of how your child can play this at home. What can replace a Hockey stick, a ball and a goal if you dont have these so you can practice the skills at home?.

01.01.2022 Ground Pass Please! Australian Opens just around the corner!

01.01.2022 When your child feels comfortable bouncing and catching big ball ask him/her to try bouncing and catching small ball like the girls here. Firstly while standing then while moving front and back then sideways and let me know how you go! Great eye/ hand coordination skills for tennis and other sports as well

01.01.2022 If youve been practicing alone, ask a friend, brother, sister, mom or dad to get a ball and throw to you. One ball each, throw at the same time, low to high, move and catch after one bounce. By the way, Kyle and Julian here are trying to trick each other by throwing ball away from player.
