25.01.2022 Few changes and upgrades in the clinic. New LED main lights and some down lights. Hopefully this will mean it’s a bit more soothing and less blinding of the eyes when you turn over they certainly make us feel more relaxed than the old fluros
23.01.2022 Please read!!!! How many of these do you have on your lower back scan? Answer: multiple. This is why you need to see a specialist in the area of musculoskeletal issues like chiropractors. When you have discomfort or pain and are sent for scans then told you have one of the list below without any other examination to identify the actual case, you are not receiving the correct care and information. ... A diagnosis is made up of more than just scans. There are many NORMAL AGE RELATED CHANGES that dont necessarily mean they are the cause of your pain. Some of the worlds best athletes have scans which would make your eyes water! Its all about function, not the structure.
23.01.2022 Planning on cleaning floors this week or anytime in the future for that matter? We often hear people say house hold chores like mopping aggravates back pain. So heres a video with some tips on correct mopping technique. The first part is the incorrect way followed by the correct way. Tips:... -Dont turn side on -Dont push the mop out in front then back to you repetitively -Dont push the mop far away from your body -Dont bend forward at the hips -Do stand infront if the mop -Do move the mop from left to right rather than forward and backwards -Do stand up straight -Do keep the mop action close to the body

18.01.2022 KICK OFF IS BACK! Our season for the littlest members of the club is back up and running from next Saturday 25th July. We are working on the final details with our coaches and committee and will email the registered players later this week with the details.
17.01.2022 Home care. Why is it worthwhile and soooo important?? -speeds up recovery -longer lasting results -provides a feeling of control ... -cost effective -time saving Whilst you will not be able to do everything on your own and still require our expect care there is certainly a lot you can do to help yourself from home in you own time that fits into your busy schedule. Combining home and in house care will speed up your recovery and provide longer lasting improvement. It’s so important that you use home care methods to aid your improvement and help keep yourself at your best. Doing so will often reduce the number of sessions you need overall and allow you to feel in control of your condition rather than it controlling you!!! Home care techniques may include: -stretches -exercises -heat or ice therapy -tens machine -massage or trigger point ball sift tissue work -ergonomic improvements Etc etc Here is Dannielle working on her shoulder at home (yes we get broken and have to walk the walk too)! Tammie adjusted her yesterday and now she is doing some tens machine work, ice therapy and ergonomic improvements. Have a chat with us about what extra things you could be doing at home so you are at your best.
17.01.2022 Happy birthday to Mable. Dannielles partner Daines big nan (great grandmother). The oldest person in Australia. Good genes there!!
16.01.2022 Sooo true. The best thing is, kids need less frequent care as they respond so well to care since we are not trying to correct years of issues. Like your teeth or your car do the servicing and keep things in good shape so they continue to function well and not break down.
16.01.2022 We have been a little slack on the posts lately while we have been busy setting up our new booking system. So we thought we would start with this gem of a post as we send out good vibes coming into the weekend. Congratulations to Dannielle and her partner on getting engaged last week. Yes as you can see from the pictures she did the asking. Its a leap year after all!!
15.01.2022 Great news!!! Tammie is back on board after a break to Fraser. She is now well rested, full of beans and ready to see you all soon. Some of you have already seen it but check out the little surprise we had waiting for her. A wall mural to cheer up her room a little
15.01.2022 COVID-19 Precautions We hope you are all coping in these uncertain times. Like you, we are concerned at how the COVID-19 crisis is progressing and we want to do whatever we can to keep our communities and our families safe and healthy. As you may already be aware, COVID-19 has now reached South Brisbane. Three individuals have tested positive and have been moving about our community for the last week in Springfield, Acacia Ridge and Southbank. ... What we do now collectively as community, and your actions as an individual, will determine the course we follow. We can prevent this virus from taking hold in our community by: Social Distancing Staying at home if unwell (cancelling/rescheduling your apt with as much notice as possible) Getting tested if you have any symptoms, no matter how mild: Symptoms requiring self isolation and testing fever or history of fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, sudden fatigue, muscle or joint pain, loss of smell, loss of taste Any individuals who were present at these locations (see article attached) at the relevant times are asked to immediately self-quarantine and contact 13 HEALTH. If you are concerned about symptoms or think you need testing and you have an appointment with us, please provide as much notice as possible to cancel and/or reschedule your appointment. Our team remains prepared to stop the spread. We are totally committed to keeping our community safe, and doing whatever it takes to provide you with musculoskeletal healthcare as a priority as long as we are able to. Please do whatever you can to help slow this virus - keep your distance from others, wash your hands, get tested if any symptoms and stay home when unwell. Lets all work hard together now to stamp out COVID in Queensland again. We ask for your support and understanding with these requirements, which we believe are necessary and important. The situation with COVID-19 is still evolving and we will continue to review our requirements from the Government regularly to ensure we are able to protect everyone as much as we can and keep you updated as things progress. Thank you! https://www.health.qld.gov.au//public-health-alert-three-n

07.01.2022 Consider a chiro https://youtu.be/X46hHCeMGdY
07.01.2022 Its spinal health week next week!!! My Chiro, My Action Plan on Pain As part of the ACAs new Consider a Chiro campaign, we are asking Australians to consider a chiropractor when it comes to ailments such as back pain, neck pain and headaches.... These health issues can also greatly impact your quality of life by making simple, everyday activities difficult to complete. With back pain, neck pain and headaches being so common, most people think they are a normal part of life. It is important that Australians understand all their options when it comes to caring for their health and wellbeing. The good news is that chiropractic may offer you a drug free alternative to not only help prevent and alleviate pain, but to promote a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. This Spinal Health Week (17-23 August) is a perfect time to make an appointment with your local ACA chiropractor to see how we they may help if you suffer from pain. Also check out our earlier posts for some great competitions to enter with some great prizes.
07.01.2022 Check out our little friend running across the fence today!!
06.01.2022 Wishing Dannielle a very happy birthday today!!! Have a great day!!
06.01.2022 Although its the symptoms people experience that often leads them through our door, its actually the underlying issue/cause that needs correcting and resolving to fix the problem. Getting rid of the symptoms is only a piece of the puzzle. Correcting the cause means its less likely to return.
04.01.2022 Funny Friday. We all have one bad side.
02.01.2022 Appointments today cancelled!!!! Sorry everyone but Dannielle has come down with a vomiting bug that’s seemingly contagious and with everyone’s health n safety a priority she is going to take the day off. Cara will get calling everyone to rebook your appointment. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding
