25.01.2022 SSA was approached by underwater photographers to create an underwater camouflage dive skin. There were a certain number of fish that they could not photograph because they were so skittish that they could not get close enough to take good pictures. It was impossible to make the suit the same color as water since the color changes depending on the depth of water you are in.We realized that the fish were quite comfortable swimming around coral and rocks so why not look like a rock? Hence the 'Natureskin" was born. Fish are scared seeing bubbles so the way it worked was the underwater photographer wearing the suit, would take a deep breath and hold it while swimming towards the fish... and Viola, it worked!

22.01.2022 What happens when a swimsuit designer and manufacturer becomes a scuba diver? In 1981 Tony Farmer invented the 'Sports Suit' which is now called a 'Dive Skin'. This colorful scuba suit revolutionized the scuba diving industry in protection, comfort, warmth, increased 'bottom times' and underwater photography.

12.01.2022 It all started on a scuba dive in Hawaii wearing a "unitard" for a test. I found out that it protected me from coral cuts and fire coral. Have you ever tried to cut a ripe tomato with a blunt knife? To cut the tomato you have to first penetrate the tough outer skin and then you can cut it. The 'Dive Skin' is the tough outer layer and your body is the soft center, that is why the coral didn't cut me. I then realized what I had discovered and so the 'Dive Skin' was born.
