22.01.2022 Full break down of The Kardy results. Would you be happy receiving these scores in a test? Food: 86%, Sports: 74%, TAB: 66%, Vibe: 63% and Beers: 54%. Great pub grub with most of us ordering the Parmi. Unfortunately a lower than expected score for beers, and lets be honest, thats half the reason why we are there. But if you dont mind a $12.50 pint of Lashes while watching your sport and having a punt then The Kardy is a goer.

16.01.2022 South Beach Hotel, South Fremantle - 7/10. Bit of a crowd down at the South Beach Hotel today. Newly renovated sports bar and cold beers flowing, no luck on the punt but good food and $7 VB pints made the arvo pretty bloody good!
16.01.2022 Mt Henry Tavern, Como - 7.4/10. If you want a Friday night of sport, meat raffles and joker jackpots then get down the Mt Henry. Most meals on the bar menu are under $20 and a good selection of beers on tap. Treat yaself to a Friday night session at the Mt Henry

15.01.2022 Hyde Park Hotel, West Perth - 8/10. It was the night of the A League semi final. Even with the glory playing and the Hyde being the supporters pub, they were happy to put the Sharks on one of the many tvs. The TAB is tucked away out the back but a pub dedicating a whole room to punting is gonna get some points. With a parmy priced under $20 and being reasonable size it capped off what was a great sports bar experience.

12.01.2022 Yeh gday guys. The Raters went down to the Kardy Sports Bar last night and wow, what a session. Money was won and songs were sung but what we were really there for was, business. For our first Sports Bar we went to an old favourite and there were mixed emotions. The boys enjoyed a few froffs, but with a favourite left off the taps and prices that will make ya think youre in South Perth, the experience just wasnt the same. After a Parmi that youd call home about, the boys got out their pens and started analysing like they were Gator on Giddy Up. 7 Raters came to the conclusion that the famous The Kardy Sports Bar was a respectable 6.9/10. I want to thank the staff and patrons of the Kardy Sports Bar for having us and lets just say, we will be back.

11.01.2022 Silver Sands Tavern, Mandurah - 7.1/10. One of the last old fashion pubs youll find. A building with a lot of history and stories with developers keen to buy and develop. But nope, theyre staying true to the punt. With a TAB section larger than their restaurant, you know youre in for an afternoon of success. 4 pool tables, plenty of tellies and a bar full of weird shit, the beers go down real smooooth. A 7.1 is very respectable, maybe with a little more attention on creating a better vibe for our raters, it would have rated higher. However, they dont give a shit about pleasing raters, coz theyre pleasing their locals! Get down to the Silver Sands Tavern!

08.01.2022 Yehhhhh gday guys. Few people have been askin, "didnt you boys go down and rate Captain Stirlos on Saturday? Wheres the rating?". Good questions, and the only answer is, we have mixed emotions about this place. On paper, the hotel doesnt deliver, but did we have a good time? Yeh we did cause we got up in our syndi. A low 5.7/10 doesnt mean it failed but youre not gonna see many sports fans walk through the door. A solid 87% for Food and 67% for Beer always meant we we...re gonna leave pretty merry, however with a disgusting 13% for Sports, youre not going to stack up well against the rest. The main attraction was the big projector showing nothing but Rugby Union for some bloke who phoned up earlier and said he was coming down to watch it. There were no other screens in the sports bar which is unheard of in this day and age. The only tick Sports could get was for the size of their one screen. The TAB received an average 60% and so did the Vibe. So as we walked out with full bellies and and a pocket full of cash, we looked at each other, smiled and asked "would we come back again?"... "yeh probly not". See more

03.01.2022 Its Wednesday write up time and we have a good news story for everyone. Friday night we went down to our local. A place that we are quite familiar with but have never rated. It was time to put The Gate Bar and Bistro through its paces and it didnt disappoint. With a title like the Best Sports Bar in Perth we had to hit it. We had 5 experienced raters down there with some eager on lookers. At first glance it was very impressive, numerous tvs with a wide range of sports, pe...ople playing pool and a few punters carrying on in the background. The rating cards came in and the scores varied and there were a few disagreements, but thats rating. Sports received a respectable 72% with a lack of sound not impressing the raters and Service missing a few ticks (even though they were happy to put the non existing A League game on). The TAB that takes up half the bar received 76% with all agreeing the Accessibility and Number of Screens was above expected for any Sports Bar. Beers got an 84% with most favorites an acceptable $10 for a pint. Food received 64% with the Parmi a highlight of the night but with others not eating and one meal being forgotten, it just didnt get a fair rating. The Vibe was an impressive 76% with some of the (all male) raters actually giving the Ratio a tick of approval, which is a rating first. So with a win in the Syndi and full bellies we treated ourselves to a Garden Bar experience with the locals. With 3 Sports Bars down, The Gate has hit the lead with a 7.4/10.
