25.01.2022 The Sportspower Team would like to wish all of our amazing customers, friends and families a very Merry Christmas. This year has been an absolute whirlwind but we’ve survived it! New ownership, new staff, COVID and a very noticeable lack of stock as a result of the pandemic but it’s safe to say WE MADE IT! And we couldn’t have done it without you all!... 10.01.2022 ***IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFO**** Hi everyone, Northam Amatuer Basketball Association (NABA) is super excited for the season to get underway in just over a w...eek!!! Many registrations have been flowing in, with still more to come in. With the ones already received, there has been a technical glitch with some teams and their nomination has gone into last season's competition. If you have already registered, you should have had to pay a team nomination fee and also register 2x umpires. If this didn't happen then you will need to re-register your team, (link will be below). If any players have already registered then we can just transfer them across to the correct team. To make it easier for everyone please email your team name, age division and list of players to [email protected] so we make sure they are all correct. We apologise for this technical error and the inconvenience it may cause, if you have any issues please don't hesitate to contact us. Here are some important things you need to know: This Tuesday 13th October at 6pm we are holding a 'Pathways to team" session for all players needing a team and/or coaches looking for players, please come down so we can help fill teams. Also at 6pm, we will be holding an information session for the "Everyone's Game" division being introduced this season for anyone 12yrs+ with a physical or mental disability wanting to learn and play basketball. REGISTRATIONS CLOSE THIS FRIDAY 16TH OCTOBER, 4PM Team Nomination - https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi?formID=62091 (Players will be sent a code via coach/manager) Player Nomination - (using team code) https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi Individual Player Registration without a team - https://forms.gle/rGHCL3ASYgEozNLg9 This Sunday 18th October at 2pm, BWA will be facilitating a Level 0 umpiring course, with a "refresher session" for already qualified/experienced umpires at 4pm for all team and association umpires, you don't have to be affiliated to a team to attend this course. NABA is covering the cost of attending this course for all umpires and they will also receive a shirt (to be worn as uniform) and learning materials. Every umpire must register for this course; it doesn't register you automatically if you were listed by a team, plus we are building our database and need everyone's details. If you are unable to attend the clinic this Sunday but wish to umpire this season please still register via the link and contact Georgia Haddrill (umpires coordinator) at [email protected] to let her know and she will keep your shirt and learning content aside. UMPIRES CLINIC: https://membership.sportstg.com/regoform.cgi Next Tuesday 20th October is OPENING NIGHT for all teams. The association will be running many short information sessions to assist with the running of the competition for this season. All players, coaches, managers, scorers, umpires and parents are required to attend. - 5.45pm - All U/12's & U/14's - 6.30pm - All U/16' & U/18's We will be going through a Code of Conduct for players, coaches and spectators, scoring clinics (all teams must send at least 2 people), umpires will go through some training and their roster system, info on game night jobs that need doing (balls pumped, timers set, score tables etc), fixtures handed out and some fun games for the players before the real games start. Tuesday 27th October from 5.45pm, all games will commence! Times and fixtures are yet to be finalised.
