19.01.2022 Remuneration for Part-time Journalist Our Journalist Team Members will be offered trips and product on a rotational basis and the Editor in Chief will manage this process. Journalists who produce the best content, most consistently, will be offered trips first. In addition to this, remuneration comes from 3 revenue streams from each sport in each country: 1. A Journalist Team receives 30% of all tour booking fees for their sport in their country. This is divided between ...the 3-person team members i.e. 10% for each Team Member. 2. A Journalist Team receives 30% of product sales profit for items that Sportztrip sells for their sport in their country. This is divided between the 3-person Team Members i.e. 10% for each Team Member. 3. An individual Journalist who convinces any company to advertise on Sportztrip will receive 30% of that advertising revenue. Our Journalists will be asked to supply a trading name at the end of their probationary period and commissions will be paid to that entity going forwards. Sportztrip will be paying you as a subcontractor, so you will be responsible for your own tax payments. At the end of the probationary period we highly recommend that you purchase our Journalist Media Kit. This includes press cards, lanyard and polo shirt. These items cost $55 AUD and will be useful to you in proving your journalist bona fides i.e. identifying you as a media professional. It will also enable your access to events, competitions, official news notifications, manufacturer model release launches, etc. We will also add your contact details to our Journalist Staff page on our website.
