19.01.2022 A portable water power generator that fits into your backpack.

12.01.2022 this one is an easy fix. Had someone come in with a note book, only 32Gb emmc drive installed. couldnt get windows to upgrade because there wasnt any space for it. So decided id give a small session on the disk manager to help out You dont need to upgrade the drive and in most cases the drive is soldered onto the board. If you have a spare usb connect an external drive but dont format... Win 10 has a built in Disk Management tool the new drive must have no partition on it if it has then you need to right click it and delete the volume first. right click on the new drive and delete volume now right click on the system partition( in most cases the c:drive) choose extend volume from the menu, click next on this window click on the new drive and add at this point you can choose to add the whole new drive or part of it if you choose only a part of it say 500Mb of a 1 Tb drive you can format the rest into a seperate backup drive afterwards with its own drive letter with disk management follow the prompts and you should have a larger system drive to handle any upgrade this is reversable afterwards if you dont want the drive always attached. alternatively in the settings, system, storage area Windows 10 it is posible to have all programs and apps loaded to another drive instead of your sytem drive. there are several areas here you can alter from loadnig new apps, documents, music, pictures and videos all can be set to goto another drive by default. which in turn will keep your system drive small especially if you only have a small 32GB eMMC system drive. 07.01.2022 following on from our last one with the disk manager. had someone come in asking how to do a backup to keep everything safe. Now in most cases you would tell them to get an external drive but there is a more professional way. Disk manager has a function much like a professional IT manager to mirror a drive. What im basically saying is we can keep an exact copy of our drive running in the machine. The first point i would recommend here is to buy two identical drives, one for t...he system drive and one to be the clone mirror drive. If they cant be the same drive they must be the same size in partition. In this case we have 2, 1TB WD drives identical. Windows 10 has been installed on one drive (C) and is running with updates installed. in Disk Manager right click the system partition and in the menu choose add mirror. you will then be asked to choose the mirror drive and add mirror. A warning will tell you can only install programs on your system drive and that windows will convert your drives to dynamic. follow the prompts and you should have an identical backup drive that should one drive fail you have an exact backup (clone)to use. An important point to remember here is, if you delete a file from one drive. it will be deleted from the other drive. this process is only used to safe guard against a drive fail. If you intend to backup for the purpose of records we recommend an exteranal drive or NAS device. See more
