25.01.2022 Celebrating the end of the 2020 School year last night with St. Patrick's staff. So much to celebrate with this dedicated team! 'None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.' Mother Teresa
25.01.2022 Time to drag those bathers out of the bottom drawer!
24.01.2022 Part of our ‘Uber learning’ and SAKG program this week provided the recipe and all the ingredients for ‘Jam drops’. This image reminds us that recipes are ‘guidelines’, not rules. Check out the creativity in this kitchen! Love it Riozelle!

21.01.2022 Christmas lunch with all the trimmings in our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program! Wishing you a very happy & safe Christmas and new year!
20.01.2022 Every morning during 'Home learning' our whole school has the opportunity to gather together via our online platform 'Google Meet' at 9.00am. This provides us with an opportunity to support one another's wellbeing & connection and to answer any questions or queries our Learners may have for their day of learning. These past three weeks we have welcomed three guest 'celebrities' to this online gathering. This was uplifting for everyone as we have all come to appreciate that 'H...ome learning' can sometimes be challenging for Learners, families and staff... for a number of varied reasons. It is hoped that the experience of 'Home learning' will be a memorable one for all concerned for all the right reasons. Providing guests at our Google Meets is one way to do this. Thank you Fr Novie, Fr Rob Galea and Guy Sebastian for your willingness to accept the invitation, your inspirational words and your commitment to all at St. Patrick's Primary School. It is interesting that all three of our guests have many commonalities: *their wonderful commitment to their respective communities *their love for singing (one in the shower; two in the public domain) *all spread their message in song (Fr Novie's album release date is still to be confirmed!)
19.01.2022 With support, our Learners prepared & cooked the ingredients contained in their 'Father's Day Breakfast pack' today and presented the gifts purchased through St. Patrick's Online shop. Special people should always be celebrated in our lives. Sometimes this means working a little bit harder and thinking 'outside the box' during challenging times to ensure this happens. Enjoy the remainder of your special day!
19.01.2022 Our final session today to celebrate our learning about road safety & Bike education took us on a 3km bike ride to our Hill! Every Learner demonstrated safety keeping to the left, engaging hand signals & maintaining a safe distance between their own bike and the one ahead of them. We acknowledged the half way mark of our ride with an icy pole providing a ‘sugar hit’ for the return journey!
19.01.2022 St. Patrick's Primary School, Pyramid Hill was successful in their submission in the 2020 Languages Film Festival! The Languages Film Festival theme, 'How can we look after our plants/world?' provided us with an opportunity to showcase both our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program and our learning in the Tagalog language. Our Languages Assistant, Nizelle Sawit has supported and showcased our learning and provided enthusiasm and engaging learning opportunities for all. W...ell done and congratulations Nizelle! Congratulations also to Samantha Doyle for her production and filming skills to place our school community on the big screen. All Learners have developed and acquired many new skills this year using Tagalog at every opportunity. St. Patrick's was awarded 1st prize in the Junior Primary section. These funds will be used for resources and activities to support our Languages program. See more

09.01.2022 Senior Constable Andrew Gibbs presented awards to our Grade 6 Learners today. Our three Grade 6 Learners, Shamica Castro, Kylin Wamar & Isacc Curran-Hempenstall (absent due to participation in a week of transition), while in their last year of Primary school have overcome many obstacles including two periods of Home learning. Restrictions have meant that they have not been onsite to support their learning in Primary school, nor have they been able to participate in full trans...ition opportunities to adapt to their new school environment in the new year. Throughout the period of Home learning they have remained positive and worked hard in these difficult times. Additionally, in their respective roles in the ‘Learners in Leadership’ team, they have not been able to be involved in leadership opportunities due to the restrictions. The Victoria Police initiative acknowledges those who demonstrate and model respect in their own lives. A very proud moment for our three recipients as this award affirms our school motto, 'To love, learn & respect'. Congratulations to you all. See more
09.01.2022 An interesting article reminding each of us of the power & influence of our words and actions during times of ‘change’ and whether we use these as an ‘opportunity’.
08.01.2022 Extremely grateful to these two gardeners for nurturing our vegetables during the school holidays, which are the basis of our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program. Thank you Matilda & Zoey!
08.01.2022 What does our Masterchef & Art specialist Jean have in store for us tomorrow? Not one BUT two Art tasks! Something for the sweet tooth with that brown sugar! There must be an important event on the calendar!
07.01.2022 Perseverance is defined as "persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success." This skill is important for so many reasons, which is why you can witness this in our lead cyclist today. Despite the challenge of a flat tyre just over the half way mark, Jace pushed on, literally, continuing to model this important attribute. Well done Jace!
06.01.2022 Getting creative as Svea made some beautiful unicorns with her ‘Play foam’ in our last session of ‘Home learning’. today. We know you love unicorns Svea!
05.01.2022 Hmmm, it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Today in our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program we made our own pizzas utilising edible art ideas followed by edible Christmas trees! Not many sleeps to go!
03.01.2022 For those who would like to support St. Patrick's Primary School as we raise important funds for Caritas, the Project Compassion box will be located at Pyramid Hill Newsagency & Post for the next fortnight. COVID-19 restrictions may put a halt to this event in 2021, but will not impact our attempts to support Caritas, bringing hope, support and compassion to the world’s most vulnerable. 'Never see a need without doing something about it.'... Thank you Raeleen for your support of our annual 'Pancake Tuesday' fundraising event, albeit a little different in 2021!
02.01.2022 The annual Loddon & Terrick Swimming sports are underway! So much courage & determination exhibited by all participants!
02.01.2022 Scratch art is underway today creating an image by starting with a black surface & scratching through it to reveal a colour below. Who is this masked man?
02.01.2022 NAIDOC week was celebrated with an event each day as we recognised the history, culture & achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To culminate this important week, today in our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program we experienced some Bush tucker. Finger limes are a native citrus which were traditionally found in northern NSW and Queensland in Bundjung language nation. Its Aboriginal name is ‘Gulalung’. ‘Always was. Always will be.’
