19.01.2022 Dear members, players and supporters, We are pleased to be bringing the 2020 calendar year to an end. Whilst Covid had an impact on the club and the ability to play rugby as often as we wanted, it did not stop us from an historical 6 teams making the Finals. It was a sterling effort, with the Colts 1 team having a commanding win over Old Barker 29-5 to win the Robertson Cup. 19.01.2022 **ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - REVISED TIME** Dear All Please be advised the time of our Annual General Meeting has been changed. ... The meeting will take place this coming Sunday, 18 October 2020. THE MEETING WILL COMMENCE AT 1:00PM. The meeting has been rescheduled to avoid conflict with the Bledisloe Cup fixture. 17.01.2022 This Saturday we have all 5 grades playing knock out semi finals! Unfortunately there is strictly no spectators allowed at the games due to COVID-19 restrictions. All matches will be live streamed by our friends at Cluch TV! Details of the stream and kick off times are outlined in the photos!

15.01.2022 Cluch TV will be streaming our Colts, 2nd Grade and 1st Grade matches v UNSW Rugby Club tomorrow live from Hudson Park Luke Barry-Donnellan and former ABC rugby union caller John Morrison will be commentating the Barraclough Cup 1st Grade match! 14.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Subbies Rugby returns tomorrow and we will be hosting Old Barker Rugby Club at Hudson Park for Round 1 tomorrow. As you would all no doubt be aware, the return of community sport is subject to a considerable amount of regulations and restrictions. In order to comply with these restrictions we have been required to make a number of changes to our typical match day routine. We ask that all members, players and supporters to please make the effo...rt to ensure they follow all signage on display and instructions of the committee so we can continue to have Rugby each Saturday for the rest of 2020. Please note the following: - All people who attend Hudson Park are to observe social distancing protocols. - All people who attend will be required to register their name and contact details. - The canteen will be open, however, patrons are not allowed to congregate in the clubhouse. We can only have limited numbers inside which will be monitored by a COVID Marshall. We ask that you patiently wait in line, order your food/drink and return to the sideline once you have been served. Thank you in advance to everyone for their assistance and co-operation. It promises to be a great day!!

11.01.2022 Rugby Trial Schedule The longest pre-season in the clubs history is almost over. Over the next 2 weeks we will be having back to back trials against Petersham. On Saturday 4th July, the trials will be held at Camperdown Oval. We have scheduled 4 x 40 minute games. Kick off times will be 1:00pm, 1:45pm, 2:30pm and 3:15pm.... The following week, on Saturday 11th July, we will be hosting Petersham at Hudson Park. These trials will be played as a normal match day. Our first round is Saturday 18th July vs Barker Old Boys. The meeting will be at the St Patrick's Rugby Clubhouse, Hudson Park. ... We are now calling for nominations for committee positions for the 2021 season. Don't miss your opportunity to get involved in one of Sydney's leading and most successful suburban rugby clubs. All nominations for committee positions are to be submitted to Club Secretary Tim Skinner in writing by 11 October 2020. This is a fantastic opportunity to round out the 2020 season and indulge in a festive beverage! All current players, former players, future players, partners, supporters, family and friends are welcome!... 04.01.2022 With the season starting on 18 July in Div. 2, it strongly appears that there will be some vacant weekends/forfeits that will occur in 4s with some of our opposition unable to field a team in this grade this year due to COVID-19, therefore we are talking the following approach: 1. We assume we have a game each weekend until CONFIRMED otherwise. 2. If a forfeit is confirmed, we will attempt to organise a Halligans game with another Club ASAP for those available that weekend ...who are not selected in 3s. 3. With the strong number of Colts we have this season, we have opted to enter a second Colts team into the Radford Cup Competition - running two sides this year, ensuring the youngsters get a game and the seniors are selected for 3s and 4s when all grades are in play. 4. Although no competition points are on offer - the next two weekends we are trialling Petersham Rugby Club with 4s in the program - the 4th of July at Camperdown 1pm kickoff and the 11th July at Hudson at 12 midday. With the likelihood of games being reduced during the season, those itching for a game should make themselves available for these two fixtures - sides for this Saturday (4th July) are being selected and confirmed this Thursday night at training. John Ibrahim and David Walsh will Coach the 4th Grade this season and will do their best during the season in conjunction with the other coaches to manage, what on some weekends, may prove to be challenging task. If you require any additional information - please contact John Ibrahim, David Walsh, Graeme Aldridge or another member of the Coaching team.

04.01.2022 Pre-season training starts on Tuesday night. Please arrive at 6:45pm for a 7:00pm sharp start. We train and play at Hudson Park, Cnr Arthur Street and Mitchell Road, Strathfield. The map is available on our website: https://www.sprc.com.au/contact-us. All welcome. We field 5 teams in Division 2 of the NSW Rugby Suburban Competition. We have a grade to cater for all standards and commitment levels.
