23.01.2022 Few people know that the Tashi Khangmar Samdrub Ling School of Buddhist Science ia located in Spring Hill. Tashi and her students will be fundraising at the Fair. They will be selling Tibetan prayer flags, beads, t-shirts and other buddhist and non-buddhist items. So make sure you pop in and say "Hello" and help support their fundraising. It is also a great opportunity to meet more of our neighbours. 22.01.2022 The Spring Hill Fair is only a few hours away now!! It's been a big effort from everyone parents, teachers, children, the local community and local business...all volunteers working hard to make the event a huge success for the benefit of the Children of Brisbane Central. Great to see how excited all the Children were today when they saw the arrival of the Giant Slide and Rock Climbing structure. A very early start for many of us tomorrow morning...let's hope that the rain stays away, for just another day. It will be a fun and memorable day. 17.01.2022 WOW! Hard to believe that after 4 months of preparation the Spring Hill Fair for 2013 is over. A BIG DAY! And, big THANK YOU to Brett Thorne for his great work as MC for the day...Brett kept the day moving and made sure everyone knew what was happening, all the Stallholders who helped make the event colourful and interesting with their beautiful stalls and products, all the School volunteers who manned the stalls and made sure the day went without a hitch, the wonderful perfo...rmers who kept us entertained with their amazing talent. The wonderful food...made and cooked with love by our parents and members of the local community, all those who worked behind the scene making sure everything went without a hitch, all of our very professional equipment suppliers, our Sponsors who not only provided valuable support to help us bring the event to life, but who also got into the spirit of the Fair. 17.01.2022 The involvement of PCYC Qld at Brisbane Central State School is ell known as they run our Outside Hours School Care program. PCYC Qld offer a great range of activities and services for Qld's Youth. Theresa and her team will have their Mobile Games Van at our Fair. Children will be able to have a play on the Xbox, Playstation and other games at the Fair. A big THANK YOU to Theresa, her team and PCYC Qld for supporting the Fair with such a great stall. Another of our local not-for-profit organisations, just located around the corner in Love St. For those who do not know, the Men's Shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organization that is accessible to all men and whose primary activity is the provision of a safe, friendly and healing environment where men are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of other men. A major objective is to advance the well-being and health of their male members and to encourage social inclusion. You may know someone who could benefit from this type of support. 12.01.2022 Girl Guides - Nundah Wavell Branch will be at our Fair. They will be handing out information and answering questions about their organisation, what they do and how to become involved. They will also be selling Girl Guide biscuits to fundraise. Guiding in Queensland was established in 1919 and today Girl Guides Queensland is the largest youth organisation for girls and young women in Queensland with almost 6000 youth members and more than 1100 volunteer Leaders and adult Members. John features coffee from another local business, DiBella Coffee. On the day of the Fair, DiBella will offer Fairgoers 15 mins Domestic Coffee Machine Demonstrations for $10. This will include: Demonstration with a Di Bella Qualified Barrister on a domestic machine; and 1 x voucher for a 1 hour complimentary training session @ Di Bella HQ (Bowen Hills) to give to a friend. $2 out of every demonstration booked will go to the Brisbane Central State School

04.01.2022 Sunitha and her wonderful team of friends and volunteers cooked up a feast for the Fair. They were preparing for days before the Fair and worked from 5am well into the evening on the day of the Fair. A huge effort. All of this could not have been achieved without the support of Sai Saileshwara (Sailesh Chand Dharshan) and Marina Chand who provided all the large cooking vessels and stove for the event.
