14.01.2022 WE WON!! Last night, we were humbled to receive the top award for 'Best Festival' at the Whitsunday Tourism Awards. We were amongst great company there as the region houses some amazing Festivals run by dedicated & talented teams. This further accentuated the honour of coming out on top. It was a big call going ahead with Spring Break Whitsundays this year. Our key selling period was the months following Tropical Cyclone Debbie which meant we had lot of hard work ahead of... us. Although the risks were clearly there, it was a no brainer for us as there was no way we were going to abandon our region in its hour of need. Although the aesthetic and structural effect were all relatively short term, the biggest rebuild needed was the perceptions of the world as the media painted quite a dire picture as it was good fodder. I'm sure everyone who attended Spring Break Whitsundays 2017 would agree that the region has an uncomprimised beauty. Although there's still some work to be done, the natural wonder of the Whitsundays is still enough to wow even the most seasoned traveller. It rivals any international destination and it's right on our doorstep. We're proud of the role we play in the ongoing growth of the region. We're more than just an annual event that takes place showing our interstate and international guests a good time. We're a 365 day a year ambassador of the region who has built a very strong marketing landscape within the millennial market. Our recipe is simple, we mix fun events, incredible activities and amazing performers with the most beautiful region in the world, to create a destination event like no other. The country thrives of domestic tourism and we take our role seriously in actively competing with international destinations. Furthermore, we're proud to provide another asset along Australia's phenomenal east coast and it drives us to compete on an international level. Thank you to everyone who has supported us thus far on our journey.
