10.01.2022 After extensive repairs, the blowhole is back open! And it’s one to see. When they mention the Goldfields track, you can reach it in a combination of the GFT and Dry diggings (that’s the one out the cottage gate). A decent day hike or cut back through across town

Added on today - dismantling a decent sized woodshed; including your mum throwing wood at your head to halve the work: afternoon tea in the forest; track a border collie to reunite with its owner; position the new solars.... If you’re headed this way try the Trentham route and the beautiful falls, red beard bakery, a stop through Bullarto en route.

09.01.2022 This agave was rescued from a Melbourne nature strip, lost all its leaves in the transplant now thriving in Hepburn Springs today. Tomorrow the first possibly tired and frazzled Melburnians return to the cottage after a four month hiatus to do the same thing. Plant your footsies in the soil, ground, rejuvenate, restore. Blossom!

05.01.2022 If you visit (or just come by stalker style), feel free to leave with a bunch of eucalypt. Blessed to have one of the striking blue varietals right out the front: ‘Baby blue’ or ‘eucalyptus pulverulenta’. Props to @flor.blooms for pointing out the beauty of the fresh floral euc in the house, pictured here in #trashtoterracotta style. Best part is we just refresh them and dry the old so nothing is ever wasted

'The suffering bastard' will be the cocktail of choice this summer,... first shaken in the 1940's at the Shepheard Hotel in Cairo by Joe Scialom as a hang over remedy for troops on R&R. It is super refreshing and impossible to drink just one. See more
