25.01.2022 Today our extremely dedicated team of educators spent the day having a working bee in our yard. The layer of sand and dirt that has covered e v e r y t h i n g was removed and we found drains, stepping stones, paths and garden edging that hadn’t been seen in years! A total of 10 tonnes of dirt and sand was removed!!! We dug the sand pit deeper so that it won’t spill out and turn the yard into a beach ever again . We brought in fresh new sand, rocks for our rock garden, plants and bark/mulch soft fall. What a fantastic effort from the team!

18.01.2022 Setting up for a big day in kindy. Our early childhood teachers pay very close attention to our children’s interests and where they are at with their learning so that they can feed those interests with engaging learning experiences. Kindergarten information packs coming out soon!
17.01.2022 I prefer to see the world upside down, because even though it's still the world, it becomes something completely different from a new perspective :)

14.01.2022 Close observation of children at play suggests that they find out about the world in the same way as scientists find out about new phenonoma and test new ideasduring this exploration, all the senses are used to observe and draw conclusions about objects and events through simple, scientific investigations. ~ Judith Roden

13.01.2022 Thank-you to Nat from our sister centre in Karana Downs for sharing the story of the gingerbread house - so much love, thought and children's creativity has gone into this little project. https://www.eskaykids.com.au/check-out-our-wonderful-and-v/
09.01.2022 Self-education through play and exploration requires enormous amounts of unscheduled time - time to do whatever one wants to do, without pressure, judgement, or intrusion from authority figures. That time is needed to make friends, play with ideas and materials, experience and overcome boredom, learn from one’s own mistakes, and develop passions. ~ Peter Grey
08.01.2022 Once upon a time, but not very long ago, deep in the Australian bush, there lived two possums. Their names were Hush and Grandma Poss. Grandma Poss made bush magic Today it was the Lilly Pillys turn to go on an excursion to a local park and continue their inquiry with animals , in particular Australian animals . While they were they they were treated to a Possum Magic picnic for Miss Tanya’s birthday , it sure was magical
07.01.2022 Today’s Diwali celebrations ~ we decorated the foyer, dressed up, danced and then went into the foyer to watch Miss Manpreet light the ‘diwa’s’ (candles). We asked miss Manpreet and miss Kuga questions about Diwali and they explained that it is a celebration of light. We celebrated with Chicken Brijani and Samosa’s for lunch and afternoon tea. We also made some decorations of our own with beautiful bright colours. What a fantastic day, thank you to our families and educators who so willingly shared their Diwali traditions with us

06.01.2022 On the 11th hour on the 11th month we will remember them - lest we forget. Today our Kindy children discussed and learnt what Remembrance Day is all about. Together they made up a beautiful sign and some poppies . They invited all the children to sit in silence for 1 minute as we remembered all those who have fought for our country .
06.01.2022 Childhood is not preparation for anything. Childhood just is, and they only get one. It’s up to us to protect it. ~ Lester Laminack
01.01.2022 Too funny not to share. Reminds me of the other day. I was sat in the yard near the mud pit and three boys had dug around a tree and found a dinosaur bone (tree roots/stump). They were so excited but apparently it was to big to dig out so we discussed how it could be removed It needs chopping into pieces they said. Mmm I wonder how? I replied With a knife said one. No! Said the other that’s not going to work! We need a train sword ... A Train sword? I asked with amusement yes a train sword he replied we have one at home and it’s big, we use it for the trees So cute (Presuming a train sword = chain saw ) I love my job
