20.01.2022 Way back when we first started running metal shaping Robert attended with a purpose. He needed a tank for an early Vincent motor cycle. He made the many parts for the tank which needed to be soldered together. Here is Roberts pride and joy

16.01.2022 We have just received some news that will make running courses difficult from the middle of next year. The host school where we hire the facility from, has chosen to not renew our contract for the full year due to wear and tear on the equipment and expansion that will interfere with our classes. They have also indicated the facility will not be avalible for hire thereafter. This decision has been made with disregard to the service we provide to the community including keeping... an age old trade (metal shaping) alive, along with many other skills we train and make available to the community. Springfield Tech Centre will continue to train school teachers throughout South East Queensland at another facility, however this location is not set up for welding or Metal Shaping. We will keep updating everyone as we go. The next available metal shaping course in on the 12th and 13th of December, We will still run a few courses in the new year so keep an eye out.

16.01.2022 Hey all we have a few places left in our turning course on Saturday the 28th. 5 hrs covering turning tapering and thread cutting. Also Steve is thinking about running a course for previous metal shaping people. Working on a roof cut and lowering for a hot rod. Is that something anyone would be interested in doing?

15.01.2022 We will be chasing a car trailer poor condition. Just really need running gear. AS we will need to build something to cart equipment around.

11.01.2022 Sorry for the bad news but the Principal that controls the building we use has decided to shut everyone out until October. WE will have a definite date in 5 weeks time but it will not be before October. I trust you can understand our dilemma Everyone is keen to get back at least we can still go to the pub. Sorry

04.01.2022 This weekends metal shaping course. The guys have all ready made some good progress. Over the next few advance metal shaping classes we shoud have the roof chopped, converted to a 2 door and all the rust repairs done.
