15.01.2022 Latest information from NSW Health for 2 January 2021. Wearing of masks will become compulsory for all people 12 years of age and older in Greater Sydney (incl...uding Wollongong)from midnight tonight in the following indoor settings: Shopping Centres, Catching Public Transport, Indoor Entertainment Venues (Pubs, Clubs, Cinema etc.), Places of Worship (Churches etc.), Hair & Beauty Salons, Hospitality Venues and their staff (Cafe, Restaurants etc.). Updated Restrictions are Gym Classes down to 30 participants, No Nightclubs, No Singing or Dancing, Weddings, Funerals and places of Worship reduced to 100 people. Fines will be applicable for non compliance (from Monday 4/01/21). Anyone under 12 years of age or medical condition will be exempt. NSW Health also continues to call on anyone who attended The Swallowed Anchor at 156/160 Crown St, Wollongong NSW, at any time of the day on Saturday 19 December, to get tested immediately and self-isolate until they receive further advice from NSW Health. At present no new cases linked to the breakout in Wollongong (It will take 48-72 hours to get a better picture of... what is going on).NSW Health recommends to wear a mask when outside your house. Please remember NSW Health restrictions are in place for Greater Sydney (including Wollongong) until further notice you can only have 5 visitors (including Children)in your home per day and only have 30 people in any outside gathering ( Parks, Beach, Reserve etc.).Have a safe New Year. 07.01.2022 Updated information from NSW Health for 4 January 2021. To 8pm yesterday, no new locally acquired cases were reported in NSW. Although 2 people were diagnosed ...after 8pm,linked to the BWS Berala Outbreak they will be included in tomorrow’s numbers. The Public Health Order for mandatory mask wearing for all people 12 years of age and older in the Wollongong LGA is now in place (unless a true medical condition exists) and on the spot fines for individuals not complying are applicable. If you have any symptoms, please get tested for COVID-19 immediately. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell, loss of taste, fatigue, acute blocked nose (congestion), muscle pain, joint pain, headache, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, unexplained chest pains.
