The Whistlestop are also having stall holders in their beautiful precinct. And, fabulous volunteers will be on hand to serve their delicious Devonshire Teas. The Whistlestop also has a wide range of gift ideas - something for everyone. Miss Kylie from the Royal Hotel - Weethalle will be serving her generous and delicious counter lunches. Along with a cold beverage....or two And the family owed and run Road Kill Grillz - Weethalle NSW will also be open for hungry visitors. Miss Linda serves up a tasty ‘fish chips’ , cold drinks and lots lots more Last but not least the HQ is changing up the menu with new options for market day. 18.01.2022 Given we are fast approaching harvest, and it’s a harvest that is promising to knock those COVID 19 blues away. While not buckets of rain over the year, it’s be...en consistent and arriving just in time to keep crops happy, it’s resulted in a stunning local agricultural landscape, plus the native bush and woodlands are carpeted in wildflower galore. Usually most farms have a couple of aerial photographs of the homestead and surrounds. Often they were taken without your permission and the first you knew if it was a letter with enclosed photographs and a offer you can’t say no too. Well I would like to offer my services to take some 2020 homestead photographs before the dust storms and heat blow it all to a distant memory. I’m using a drone to take high resolution photographs and will also do a flyover in 4K resolution of the homestead and sheds. Photography will depend on weather conditions, but my thoughts that it’s possible to complete 2 farm photography shoots in a day. What do you get at the end of the day - a portfolio of digital images, colour corrected, plus a flyover video of the homestead. You determine what’s captured and from what angle. You can then decide which images to enlarge and framed. You get the lot Cost will be $250 for approx 90 mins. That should be enough to fly the drone around the homestead and outlying sheds and from a variety of distances and angles. If you would other images - such as farm machinery in action, we can discuss this. I have added a couple of photographs I have recently taken of our farm and a neighbors, so you can have an idea of what they may look like. 05.01.2022 To the Rankins Springs Community regarding Australia Day Celebrations Every six years our community gets to host the Carrathool Shire Australia Day Celebration...s and highlight our small community. January 26 2021 is our turn. Due to progress being in recess a small committee of community members have been liaising with the Shire. Unfortunately with covid, this year there will be no breakfast in the park, instead there will be a luncheon held in the hall. It is a free event and anyone can go, however, due to covid restrictions there is a limit of 100 attendees. Anyone wishing to attend must book with Carrathool shire by 20th January. Only those who have booked may attend and will have to electronically check in. There will be a meeting 3pm 17 January at the golf club. Anyone is welcome to come along and help out.
