24.01.2022 In a recent blog post, I mentioned that most of the time, New Year's Resolutions don't work. Here's just one article on this very topic! Have you achieved any of your New Year's Resolutions? Feel free to share! https://www.psychologytoday.com//why-people-cant-keep-thei

23.01.2022 While I'm still in the process of carving out my role as a life coach, I think this post clarifies my work quite well. Please post any questions or comments and also, I'd love to know if you've ever had a role in life that you've found difficult to define. https://springtasmania.com.au/20//23/role-as-a-life-coach/

21.01.2022 A quote by Albert Einstein in 1922, spotted this morning on the BBC News website, has caused me to reflect about my life and my work as a life coach: "A calm and humble life will bring more happiness than the pursuit of success and the constant restlessness that comes with it." So watch this space for a new blog post (that is, if my current brain fog lifts and I become capable of articulating my thoughts - it took over 20 mins to write this paragraph!). In the meantime, feel free to like, comment and share.....

21.01.2022 I've been procrastinating writing a post about values for ages! There's so much to say that I felt overwhelmed and didn't know where to start! Finally, here's a bit of an intro to the topic. I'll be following up with more posts on values soon! Feel free to get in touch if you have any comments or questions.https://springtasmania.com.au/2017/10/09/values/

19.01.2022 Yikes - it's been a while! A new blog post is in progress, but in the meantime, here's a quote by George Orwell from "1984" which made me ponder. "Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood."

19.01.2022 Wishing you and yours a safe, peaceful and contented 2019! I hope the new year brings you all you desire...

18.01.2022 A new post on work-rest balance is in the offing. In the interests of rest, I haven't completed it yet! For now, here's an article you might like on work-life balance and the benefits of deliberate rest. My reflections: What do we define as work and rest/leisure? Is there such a thing as an ideal work-rest balance? Is there a difference between men and women in the way this issue is addressed and experienced? Once again, I notice a female is featured in the photo. Just saying! http://www.smh.com.au//what-we-get-wrong-about-worklife-ba

16.01.2022 I watched Darkest Hour movie last night and was reminded about one of Winston Churchill's quotations - this one deeply resonates with me personally and as a life coach: "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."

15.01.2022 On my To Do list: Buy a few house plants!

13.01.2022 Making important decisions can be so scary that we often end up in analysis paralysis! I hope these 8 tips help. What do YOU do to solve your difficult dilemmas? Feel free to share. https://springtasmania.com.au/2017/09/10/dilemmas/

12.01.2022 Thinking about goals from a different perspective - "Letting go" - from ABC website. :-) http://www.abc.net.au//do-less-be-more-sophie-scot/9352580

11.01.2022 Here's a SMART goal post for you! Excuse the pun. If you can stick it out (it's quite lengthy), I'm sure you'll find it useful. Feel free to contact me if you have any comments, reflections, complaints or questions. I'd love to hear about your goals! https://springtasmania.com.au/2017/10/18/smart-goals/

11.01.2022 Here's the second instalment on values. A third is coming soon... https://springtasmania.com.au/2017/10/10/values-are-not/

09.01.2022 Are you ready for change? My previous post reminds us that usually there's no such thing as a quick fix for solving dilemmas. Well, the same goes for behaviour change! Check out this article on the stages of readiness for change. Where are you right now? https://experiencelife.com/article/the-stages-of-change/

08.01.2022 Feel free to like and share this short video. Will Smith's words resonate with me and I love his energy. When he says "...in your best interest" I think: VALUES. ... Action that's in your best interest is in-keeping with your values (how you ideally want to behave in the world). Value-guided action moves you forward. When he says "...self-discipline," I think: VALUES. Self-discipline is a huge part of achieving your goals. Knowing your values can really help to support and maintain self-discipline. This is my bread and butter (even though I don't like butter). My work is all about uncovering values and springing forward into action! Hope you enjoy this short video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrE1s6s8HDI

07.01.2022 Here's a short addendum to my previous post on SMART goals. Hope it clarifies rather than confuses! How do YOU record your goals? https://springtasmania.com.au/2017/10/19/actions/
