06.01.2022 Springvale Brass has a fantastic new home at Frederick Wachter Reserve, Keysborough! Springvale Brass and Dandenong Band are once again under the same roof in the new band room within the Pavilion building at Frederick Wachter Reserve. So, if you’ve ever thought about learning a brass instrument or playing in a brass ensemble, why not join us for Wednesday night rehearsals starting at 6:30pm during the school term!? We would also like to take this time to acknowledge and tha...nk Todd and Trudy O’Shea for their tireless work in revitalising Dandenong Band’s training band, and for making Springvale Brass what it is today. Todd has served our band community as Musical Director of Springvale Brass since it was launched in 2017, with his wife Trudy by his side supporting the administration of the Band. Together, Todd and Trudy have decided it is time for them to step away from Springvale Brass, and continue to assist the Band wherever possible in a supportive role. We thank them for their extensive efforts; Springvale Brass is richer for your involvement. We would like to welcome Dandenong Band’s principal Trombonist Rachael Shineton who has kindly agreed to take on the role of interim Musical Director of Springvale Brass. Rachael brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. Springvale Brass is in very good hands. Stay tuned for more Springvale Brass news soon.
