24.01.2022 A reminder to students and families that today is the final day of the 2020 academic year. Monday 16th November is a School Development Day. Students do not attend school on this day. All students return on Tuesday 17th November, on Week A of their new timetable. They will also be issued their reports next week. ... They have demonstrated strong leadership skills during their time at our school, and are proud Hazelbrook Public School and Faulconbridge Public School former students.
23.01.2022 Friday saw the last of our NAIDOC celebrations. All junior students shared biscuits made from wattle seeds, rosalla seeds and lemon myrtle and were also offered lemon myrtle tea or hibiscus cordial. A vote was conducted on the new logo options for the Aurung Cafe. We offer a huge thank you to Uncle Graham Cooper and his wife Kay for joining us for lunch. Enormous thanks to the Year 10 Food Technology class for their cooking and preparation, to Mrs Fodor, Ms Jennings and Mrs Cameron for their tireless efforts in preparing for the day. 19.01.2022 Congratulations to Thanaphon Tanajitsiri, whose Visual Arts Body of Work titled 'Conversion of 2-3, 3-2 Dimensions' has now been selected to be included in ARTEXPRESS 2020 at the Art Gallery of NSW. Thanaphon's series has been recognized for its dynamic portrayal of architecture, effective composition, his capturing of the decisive moment, and his evocative depiction of light. We are very proud of Thanaphon and excited for his future.
19.01.2022 Year 10 Textiles have completed the junior elective course with many beautiful final projects. Pictured is Peri Webb with her amazing toy elephant. We look forward to seeing what they create in senior Textiles.
18.01.2022 Today marks the last day of the school year for our students. They have celebrated in style with Christmas themed mufti! Wishing our students, families and community and safe and enjoyable holiday. School will resume for all students in Years 7-12 on Friday 29th January. Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th January are both School Development Days.
16.01.2022 Personal Best Assemblies This term, we were unable to have our usual Personal Best Assembly as a whole school. Instead, our recipients were acknowledged on Monday in Year Assemblies. 15.01.2022 A big congratulations to Zoe Scott! Zoe's HSC Textiles Major Project has been selected for inclusion in the 2020 SHAPE exhibition, displaying a very small number of exemplary projects from across the state. Congratulations also to Xiao Bao McGillion and Ayesha Kelly, whose major projects were also acknowledged for their excellence and nominated for inclusion in Texstyle earlier this year.
15.01.2022 Wishing our students, families and staff a relaxing Term 3 holiday period. School will return for all students Years 7-12 on Monday 12th October. The Year 12 Formal Graduation will be live streamed on Thursday 15th October at 11am. A copy of the video will also be made available for later viewing.

11.01.2022 Year 8 students will be receiving their first dose of the HPV vaccine and dTpa vaccine this Friday the 20th of November. SY1 students who missed out on the Meningococcal vaccine will also have the opportunity to get their catch up vaccine too. We advise the students to have something light to eat in the morning please.
10.01.2022 Congratulations to Cameron Bartie who has been accepted into the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) Live Production and Technical Services program. Cameron joined the Tech Team as a Year 7 student and quickly mastered lights and sound through school musicals, concerts and assemblies. After refining his knowledge, Cameron mentored younger Tech Team members and has generously shared his skills and knowledge on many occasions. Cameron has been recognised with numerous awards during his time at school, and successfully attained HSC VET Entertainment Specialisation qualifications this year. We are thrilled to share the news that Cameron has been accepted at NIDA and wish him all the very best in the future.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Sam Macken of Senior Year 2. Sam’s individual Drama performance was recently nominated for ONSTAGE, an annual display of exemplary HSC Drama works. Sam’s physical theatre and mime performance, titled ‘Elementary Dating’, has been filmed and will go to the ONSTAGE selection committee for consideration in the final program. We are very proud of Sam's achievements!
06.01.2022 Bus Delays We have just heard from Blue Mountains Transit that a car accident at Springwood has caused some bus delays. Students may arrive home later than expected this afternoon.
05.01.2022 All senior students received their final HSC report today. Reports can also be accessed via the parent portal. We look forward to welcoming them back on Monday 12th October, to mark the beginning of celebrating our Senior Year 2 graduates.
05.01.2022 HSC results will be released to students at 6am and ATARs at 9am this Friday 18th December. Unfortunately, due to the delayed start to the HSC, we will not be able to host our students during the school term for the traditional ATAR morning tea. We are asking that students share their ATARs with Mr Shepherd via email, so that we can in turn share this news with your teachers and school community.
