24.01.2022 Hi all! Just a note to say that we have a handful of people waiting for their Dry & Cosy jackets... we are still waiting on our delivery to arrive so they won’t be coming home with uniform orders today, but we will organise to have them sent off as soon as we receive them. Hopefully some time during the week Also, we’ve been asked when we will be reopening the Uniform Shop. The answer is we don’t know. We are following Mr Mehmets lead and he doesn’t know either. We LIKE to... think it will be able to happen next term, but as we all know this entire year is not exactly going to plan so we just have to continue to go with the flow on that front. In the meantime keep submitting those orders via form forwarded to the office or online at flexischools.com.au if there’s anything you need. Some of our suppliers stock is unfortunately not the best on certain items/sizes, due to shipping delays and general covid related obstacles, but we will continue to keep our shelves stocked as best we can. Generally things are looking pretty good and we are optimistic that we can ride this out with minimal disruption for another term. Your patience is greatly appreciated!

24.01.2022 Springwood Growers Market is back on Sunday 26th July from 8am-12pm. We will be spread over 2 venues side by side, the Blue Mountains Theatre and The Oriental H...otel to ensure social distancing. Please pre order if possible and if you feel unwell or have been in contact with anyone from Victoria we ask you to stay home and self isolate. We look forward to seeing you support our Farmers and Producers next Sunday. See more

23.01.2022 Hi everyone, just an end of term update: In Term 3, the Uniform Shop will continue to be closed to walk-in customers in the same way we’ve been closed in the current term. We will continue to process Flexischools and form orders from the beginning of next term and send them to the children’s classrooms, but we won’t be accepting walk-ins. We continue to be guided by the Department of Education's Covid Guidelines until further notice.... We hope you have an enjoyable and safe school holidays! Erin & Margot

23.01.2022 Don’t forget to get your Flexischools orders in ASAP! We’ve got a handful of Kindy and Stage 1 orders already submitted, but nothing for Stage 2 & 3! Placing your orders early gives us a chance to make sure our shelves are adequately stocked to cover our orders as well as any walk-in customers we might have.... Don’t wait until the day before term starts to make your purchases! If you can plan it in advance and send us your order either through Flexischools or email to the school please do!

22.01.2022 Our current summer uniform

22.01.2022 As per the Government's directive, the SPS Uniform Shop will remain CLOSED for the remainder of Term 2. Orders can be placed via form or online at https://flexischools.com.au

19.01.2022 Coming up THIS WEEKEND!!!

17.01.2022 For our Kindy 2021 parents, we’ve set up our sale and second hand items in sizes 4-8 front and centre. Please email a request of items to the office ladies and we will do our best to find those items for you. We are hoping to clear out this backlog of items as our small second hand cupboard is nowhere near spacious enough!!! Thanks to covid for disrupting our running of the shop this year! We are still sifting through the larger sizes and have a limited supply of those hanging in the cupboard currently, but we will continue working on that next week.

15.01.2022 It is World Teacher Day. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers at Springwood Public School.

15.01.2022 Hello Term 3! We hope you’ve all had a lovely break All outstanding uniform orders for this week will be addressed tomorrow. The Uniform Shop remains closed to walk-in customers for the foreseeable future, but we are accepting orders placed online at Flexischools, or via forms submitted at the office.... We usually will pack up all orders each Monday and send them off to the classrooms before the end of the day. Stay safe and have a wonderful term! E&M

14.01.2022 Winter is (practically) HEEEEEEEEERE! Dry & Cosy Jackets are available from the uniform shop in royal for students AND navy for staff. They’re $55. I’ll be placing an order soon to boost our currently limited supply of these jackets, and they’ll arrive 2 weeks after they’re ordered. They are available from size 4 all the way into adult sizes (although our Flexischools and form ordering only states up to 16. If you want an adult size get in contact to let us know.)... Their sizing is designed so the jacket can be worn alone as well as allow for our baseball jacket or sloppy joe underneath if needed, and is long enough to keep the students entire torso warm through those chilly school days.

14.01.2022 The Uniform Shop has registered as a Covid Safe business and will be OPEN (!) ONLY on Wednesday 27th January 2-3:30pm. Please take note of the following: If you are unwell, please stay home. Send an email to the school with your order instead, and we will do our best to set aside what you need after 3:30pm.... Wearing of masks will be required inside as per government directives. The Uniform Shop won’t be providing any so please don’t forget to bring yours! We also ask customers to sign in using our QR code or sign in sheet. We will only be able to allow one family at a time into the shop, and will ask others waiting to queue 1.5m apart outside. We will provide markers on the ground. We will have all current Flexischools and form orders available for quick collection outside if the weather is good, or through the window if it’s not. This is the easiest and most straightforward way to receive any uniforms so we suggest everyone jumps on board with placing orders ahead of time! If visiting at this time to collect orders doesn’t fit for you, you may be able to visit the school to collect your order on Thursday from the school office. Any orders that are not collected will then be sent home with the students at some point early in the term once they are settled in their classes and the staff are able to send the orders in the right direction. At this time the uniform shop will NOT be open on Monday mornings as we usually hope for (as students will be on the premesis at that time) however the parent volunteers will still attend to any orders needing attention as per usual. Once our directives change we will gladly welcome our customers back again, but until then we just have to manage remotely as we were last year. If you have any questions, please comment below

08.01.2022 Buttenshaw Park in Springwood is receiving an upgrade. The upgrade includes a new an inclusive adventure play space for tweens and teenagers. A survey on the preliminary masterplan and play space design closes on 9 August 2020. Review, view and provide input via the link below.

07.01.2022 When buying uniforms getting the right fit is important. We love LWRs range, but one odd thing we find with their items is that many of our Kindy children traditionally begin school needing size 4 pants rather than size 6 (which is what they might be fitting into the rest of the time at that age) To help with the decision making, here is the LWR size chart. We source all bottoms except for our bootlegs from them. Generally a size 6 polo will fit the same child wearing size 4 ...pants, particularly when it comes to the boys. Our polos, baseball jackets, jumpers, dresses and bootlegs are made by a different supplier and we find their sizing to be more consistent with regular children’s sizes, so no worries there! Over the last 12 months we have been phasing out some old pant/short styles and introducing some new, better fitting and more streamlined options instead. We have replaced the girls traditional shorts (ridiculously narrow and only fitting those longer and thinner children properly) with a more flexible unisex style to satisfy both boys and girls, and we have also introduced a better fitting everyday skort. We hope that these items will be just as smart for our students but also provide better comfort, fit and versatility for all.

06.01.2022 The beautiful and delicious Springwood Growers Market is on tomorrow morning.

04.01.2022 This is wonderful!

04.01.2022 Time for some uniform shop stuff: figure out a Covid Safety Plan, make a sign in sheet, get a QR code, continue moving all our files onto a cloud, research better (read: probably non-existent) internet connectivity options, find a new printer for the shop, write a stationary shopping list, collate and arrange all orders, order uniforms from suppliers, make sure our accounts are square, arrange to return our last batch of faulty hats... Hopefully I’ll be able to tick off a few things before someone wakes up!

02.01.2022 Did you know that the parents of most grades have their own Facebook groups? Some are more active than others, but they’re generally a great place for parents to connect with each other and share information amongst themselves. As far as I am aware there’s not yet a group for this years Kindergarten, but anyone is welcome to get one started! If you do please share it with us so we can help connect the first timer and seasoned Kindy parents into it.... Here’s the links (I hope I copied them correctly!)
