24.01.2022 IS YOUR SCHOOL NEXT? We have some availability left in term 1 2020 for our fabulous SWISH basketball program. Let us bring engaging, fun, challenging, sometimes... competitive fundamental movement based activities to your school to help foster a love of physical activity (and basketball!) in the primary school aged members of our community. In term 3 we went to HAZELBROOK PUBLIC SCHOOL to catch up a program that was delayed due to the COVID-19 shutdown. The kids and staff were FANTASTIC! We ran two programs simultaneously - one on their multipurpose court and the other on the quad (up lots of stairs, wow) - so in just a single day we were able to have all 16 classes learning basketball. 20.01.2022 Have you checked the weather?? Raining Thursday, Friday, Monday ANNNNND Tuesday! Keep the kids entertained by bringing them to our COVID-safe holiday clinic. Any who wish to bring their own basketball will need to sanitise it on the way into the stadium at our cleaning station.

16.01.2022 OUR OCTOBER HOLIDAY CLINIC HAS FINISHED! Thank you to all of our awesome attendees. We hope you had fun and went home so tired you were asleep before the sun set like our coaches were . Beau Owen Adelaide Bailey Lucas Maddox Day 2: Zara Anabel Nicholas Tennyson These awards are given out (almost) every clinic not to the kids who can shoot or dribble the best, but to the kids who most consistently show good teamwork skills, can communicate and interact respectfully with those around them, and are always trying their best whether the task is easy or hard. Thank you parents and kids for being patient with our COVID-safe processes making some things take a liiiiiiittle bit longer than before. 16.01.2022 REGISTRATIONS WILL OPEN NEXT WEEKEND FOR OUR 2020 U10s & AUSSIE HOOPS CHRISTMAS GALA! Children from our term 4 u10s and Aussie Hoops development sessions will be divided into teams to play short games of basketball under the U10s rules. Each session has a maximum capacity of just 30 participants. At this stage there will be no spectators allowed. Parents/carers will be expected to sign their child in and then exit the stadium. Payment will be made at the time of signing in.... More information will be on the registration form which will open next weekend.

15.01.2022 *** SUMMER 20/21 SEASON *** SDBA would like to thank our office guru, Katrina, for her hard work and long hours getting the Summer 20/21 season sorted. Team lists have been published. Draws/game times can be found using the Sportstg app. Instructions to use the Sportstg app can be found pinned to the top of the main Scorchers page. Please ensure you check this app regularly as changes to game times may occur. Coaches/Managers will be advised of any changes and they are a...sked to let their families know. We recommend you login to Sportstg to make sure your contact details are correct as these details will be provided to all Coaches/Managers. Our Covid19 Safety Plan remains in effect until at least Christmas. This means NO spectators. It is suggested that Coaches/Managers liaise with parents of their team members to share bench duties (one person per team). That way parents can bench and see their child play at peast once during the season. If you have time to volunteer as a Coach/Manager, please email the office.
