18.01.2022 We have been contacted by NSW Health at midday today (Tuesday) who have advised a visitor to Springwood Sports Club on Saturday 12 September between the hours o...f 1pm and 2pm has tested positive to Covid-19. As a result, Springwood Sports Club has been listed as a ‘casual contact’venue. NSW Health defines a ‘casual contact’ as: ‘Someone who has been near a confirmed case of COVID-19 while they were infectious but is considered at lower risk than a close contact. They should still be vigilant and watch for symptoms but casual contacts are NOT REQUIRED to self-isolate in their homes UNLESS they develop symptoms.’ With this advice and under the category of ‘casual contact’, NSW Health has advised no further action is required from Springwood Sports Club and the club can remain open. Springwood Sports Club continues to be committed in following Department of Health Guidelines precisely and will continue to operate under our COVID-19 Plan, relevant health orders and the advice of NSW Health. Our COVID-19 Marshall’s remain in place and our venues are cleaned multiple times a day and overnight each night. Let’s continue to look after each other by keeping physical distances sanitising and maintaining good hand hygiene. We encourage all club members and our team to stay home if you’re feeling unwell or develop any symptoms, get tested immediately and self-isolate. 09.01.2022 It has been a year of adversity which has seen all of our businesses adapt to the circumstances as they fall. Due to the crowd numbers that we see on our Christmas night we were unfortunately unable to continue as usual. This year our event will be hosted over four Thursdays. There will be raffles for shopping in the shops and our beloved Elf on the shelf competition is back. We can guarantee a smiling face behind the counters and a little jig in our step at the end of the night. Please share to get the word out and we hope to see you out during one of the nights. Julianne
