25.01.2022 Geeez, you see some close calls in the water at Manly, but this was one of the closest and I reckon there was only 5 guys out at Queenscliff this morning. Lucky for Jesse, his board took the impact on the sharp and pointy bits and not his body. 13.01.2022 Its been a strange summer so far in Sydney. The news of bushfires, lost lives both human and animal, properties destroyed in familiar places and the constant smoke muting the sun and the usual Sydney carefree summer vibes. This summer will be the summer of the bushfire. Not a single event but a whole season of high alert and tragedy, tiresome work and bravery. If theres one thing that comes out of this summer, I hope its a collective desire to connect with country; The bus...h, the animals the weather, the climate and the knowledge that those things hold for us. When we realise that were all in this together and its not us and them, city and bush, animal and human, green, red, blue, whatever, maybe then we can respect the whole and together quicken the pace towards being better custodians of the only planet we have. Huge respect to anyone thats been fighting to save lives and property. Id love to hear of the saved lives and property toll as well as those lost...I imagine its been immense. Stay safe, bring rain!
