21.01.2022 GUT HEALTH // Great to see the push for good gut bacteria steaming into 2017. It doesn't matter what you do, but if your gut health isn't in order you will not be the best version of yourself. Weight loss, allergies, fatigue, mood, skin conditions, auto immune disease are all linked in one way or another to the gut. Note- opt for a good quality probiotic supp rather than a yoghurt drink mentioned in the article. @bioceuticals is my number 1 pick!

20.01.2022 Controversial opinion- Actually really enjoyed the first ep of the new revamped The Biggest Loser Australia. Whatever your opinions of the show as a whole, I like that they have shown that body issues, weight issues, health problems & self worth don't just effect the morbidly obese. Health is every single persons responsibility and body image effects everyone. Big picture here.

04.01.2022 STRETCH // It’s funny how you actually have to do stuff to make shit happen ;) Almost two years ago I posted a very similar picture & wanted to challenge my flexibility & set myself some goals. Well here I am today, just as tight, rigid & probably one of the most inflexible females to walk this earth. My own fault for loving HIT style training & never stretching, but I also didn’t really have my mind in the game so never made any progress. Fast forward to 2017 & I have had an almost automatic pull to do more yoga & stretching focused exercise. It might be because we moved to the coast or because I’m feeling a bit old lady like with my scoliosis, but I actually feel READY now to fix this back of mine. Here’s to touching those toes again. Bloody hell it’s been a while.

I've just finished reading Peter's book- THE GREAT AUSSIE BLOKE SLIM DOWN, and it is FANTASTIC. Definitely recommend to anyone, not just middle aged overweight men! He talks to you like a normal person and doesnt whack you with too much science. He understands the struggles because he has done it himself. Plus it's hilarious. Absolutely worth the read.

02.01.2022 HYDRATE // Onto my second 2L bottle of water today after a hot run (read: shuffle) this morning. Topped this one off with a dash of ACV for digestion and cause I'm fancy like that.

02.01.2022 Of course healthy eating wont cure all issues but goodness me it bloody helps! You cannot expect to feel good and feel happy if your insides are constantly inflamed, sluggish and deprived of good nutrients. The receptors for our mood regulating hormone (serotonin) are located IN THE GUT. Consuming processed crap, sugar, too much alcohol and medication is bound to make anyone feel shit. Common sense people. Head out of the sand.

02.01.2022 I realise that not everyone is as passionate about health and fitness as I am, and, at the end of the day that IS perfectly ok if it’s not a priority to you. It doesn’t make you a bad person! If you have accepted that you are happy with the way your health and life is then that is truly ok. Do you know what isn’t ok though? Wanting to make a change and making excuses as to why you can’t.
