23.01.2022 Hello 2019 Sprouties! I hope you are settling into your Prep year with confidence. Week 7 already! Families, if you think your Preppie needs a little extra help I am working in conjunction with Bianca at The Village Hub at the Varsity Lakes Community Centre on Mattocks Rd doing some after school tutoring specifically for the 3-5 year olds. It is a drop in session from 4:00 to 4:45 every Wednesday. You can let me know what your child may need support with and I’ll plan accordingly. If this is something you or a friend may be interested in please comment below and we can chat.

04.01.2022 I just love getting feedback after a class. This little guy was talking syllables all the way home in the car. Such a prime age for learning! I love it! Who wants to join us next week? Classes are filling.

01.01.2022 Super fun sequencing and retelling our Nursery rhyme this week. If we start with simple and the children gain confidence doing this then when they hit Prep the level of detail they include in a retell should be more complex. At school it is an expected comprehension strategy to be able to retell a familiar story. I loved how my little ones on Wednesday were focused and so willing to use the pictures to sequence and retell. Their Mummies were equally impressed. Great stuff ‘Little Sprouties’!
