25.01.2022 Good afternoon students and parents, I am writing to address your concerns in light of the current virus outbreak. We have come to the decision to continue classes for the remainder of the term; ending on and inclusive of Sunday 29th of March 2020. The complimentary mid-week sessions will be discontinued until further notice; however, I will be available for online homework help (via phone or email) during the hours of 4-6pm on Wednesdays. ... We understand the gravity of keeping you and your families safe as well as nurturing your childs learning during these uncertain times and so the decision was made after much thought and contemplation. At this stage, we will return on the 18th of April in line with the school term until otherwise announced. At Sprout Tuition we endeavour to play our part and have implemented measures to ensure adequate environmental sanitation, hand hygiene and space to accommodate for social distancing. Below are the steps we have taken to reduce the risk. 1. Any child who has travelled or been in contact with anyone who has recently travelled either internationally or interstate is urged to stay home and encouraged to self-isolate for 14 days (please follow standard absentee procedure and give sufficient notice). 2. Parents will be contacted for any child with symptoms of cold or flu (fever, cough, sore throat or respiratory distress) and sent home with no exceptions. 3. Rooms are sanitised before and after every class (desks, chairs, door handles, bathrooms, whiteboards and floors). 4. Expanded class space to 4m x 5m room for max class size of 3-4 students and 3m x 3m room for 1-2 student classes to maintain safe social distance. 5. All students are to leave their bags and shoes in the designated cubes at the entrance. 6. All students are required to wash their hands with soap provided before and after attending each class (hand sanitiser is also provided). 7. Bins in each classroom for correct waste disposal. Thank you all for your continued support as we work together to minimise the spread and overcome these challenging times. If you have any further questions or concerns, please email me via [email protected] Rubyn Duong Sprout Tuition

20.01.2022 Good afternoon parents and friends. I am writing this post to update you on the direction our tuition centre will head in term 2. First of all, we have decided to extend our holidays for another 3 weeks for our group sessions (9th and 10th of May). We are in the process of splitting into groups of 2 (in line with the 2 visitors per house policy) and looking at online options for those who can't attend in person. Please contact Rubyn for further information if you are unable ...to attend physical classes. One on one sessions recommence as usual this week. Stay safe, Sprout Tuition

19.01.2022 5 tips to ensure that students retain what they gain.

17.01.2022 Dear parents and friends, We are writing to address the public health alert released by Queensland Health regarding the affected areas surrounding our centre (Richlands and Forest Lake). For the safety of our students and their families, our team has decided with a heavy heart to put tutoring on pause for the next two weeks, effective tomorrow 1st August 2020. We believe it is the utmost priority to give the authorities enough to time to contact trace and minimise the spread... within our community. Parents who have bulk paid, please remain patient as we place as our efforts into handling this unprecedented situation. We assure you that refunds will be processed as efficient as possible to the best of our abilities. Please call me if there are any further questions. We will reopen on the 15th of August. Sorry for the late response and inconvenience. We really appreciate your support and understanding during these challenging times. Stay safe Rubyn

01.01.2022 Drawing is so important for children. From drawing a stick figure to putting splashes of colour from the paint on their fingers, its something they enjoy thoroughly and that should always be encouraged. The next time you see a child scribbling with a marker or splattering paint onto a canvas, stop, admire, and praise his or her work. Who knows, your words of encouragement may inspire a future artist.
