24.01.2022 Excited to be teaching a beginners yoga class for the Equity Festival of Wellness this Wednesday. Come along

23.01.2022 Sprout Wellness with Romney is live It’s taken a lot of courage to jump off this branch and dare to fall but I’m here and I’m listening to what my intuition is telling me. It’s telling me to put myself out here so that I can share and help others and it’s also telling me to sit with feeling uncomfortable about it. Because in the uncomfortable true growth happens I’d love you to check it out, book in for my upcoming Flow, Restore, Relax workshop or sign up for my love notes aka newsletter. https://www.sproutwellnesswithromney.com Thank you @meljensen_77 for all of your amazing work putting it together

16.01.2022 This morning I jumped on the treadmill and halfway through my workout, the searing pain started, doubled over in agony and feeling like I was going to be sick, I got off the treadmill and walked to my car and sat, cursing my body and feeling sorry for myself. I’ve been dealing with pain like this for years when I run. I love running and sometimes the pain comes, sometimes it doesn’t, it’s like exercise roulette, you never know what you’re gonna get Diagnosed years ago as IB...S, now waiting for surgery in August for endometriosis Most of the time I push through, get on with it but today, I decided to listen...I’m constantly telling my students to listen to their bodies so I thought I’d take a little of my own advice. My body was telling me to slow down and to rest. So I drove to Darlo and put my legs up the wall for 20 mins. And my goodness what magic a little bit of restorative yoga can do. I feel revived and alive again. If you’re feeling overwhelmed at the moment or in pain or just in need of slowing down then my advice is, DO IT!! We’ve been conditioned to believe that slowness is lazy or that we’re not productive if we rest. But more than ever we need more listening, more grace, more compassion, more stillness See more

With everything that is going on in the world, i’m inviting you, to take time out Join me, Saturday September 12, for 2 luxurious hours of connection and calm. 13.01.2022 What does rest and slowing down mean to you? We often associate it with being lazy or unproductive. An unfortunate reality that we have been pushed to believe. If you’re not working manically or overtired you’re obviously not doing enough right?! It’s like being overworked and exhausted are a badge of honour. But the truth is, if we allow ourselves space and time to go inward we can begin to see a shift in our mindset and perspective. When we aren’t going at 100 miles an ho...ur and we slow down, things become clearer. Let’s be honest, the work is ongoing and everyday is different but moving toward a softer, more gentler experience of life might just be what we all need. Flow, Restore, Relax on September 12th will take you on an inward journey, I’d love you to join me https://www.sproutwellnesswithromney.com/disco/specialevent

10.01.2022 Journalling and meditation have become a huge part of my daily Sadhana. Taking time to sit and cultivate stillness as the day begins. The flow of words, whether they make sense or not. Sadhana is the Sanskrit term for a daily routine or practice. As most people know I am passionate about all things health and wellness. And the truth is, I love checking out the fun new health and wellness do da’s (I am only human after all!) but at the end of the day, I always come back... to the most simple of practices that help me to stay grounded and connected. It’s good to remember that our daily Sadhana shouldn’t feel like a chore and what works for one person, may not work for the next and so on. Finding YOUR Sadhana takes time and practice. Play around with it and discover things that help you start your day. Practices that speak to your soul, not someone else's

02.01.2022 Sitting on a rock, in the sun, writing and reading. Feeling the high vibes of being surrounded by love and nature I've realised lately, thanks to doing a lot work on myself through meditation, breathwork, journalling and asking myself some tough questions, that the only way to really show up in the world is to be myself, whether people like me or not.... For a long time, because of past experiences, I have allowed myself to live in fear of judgement, fear of not being good enough, fear of being disliked. I have allowed myself to hide in the shadows. But I am changing that story. I am committed to being the truest version of myself so that the passion I have for helping others can shine through. A beautiful friend reached out to me last week, asking for some guidance on how to grow and work on herself. When I got this message, I was floored. I thought to myself, "who am I to give advice, why would anyone want to listen to me" so I closed the message, I ran away and made myself small. But then I took a breath and realised that this friend reached out because she wanted help and it made me proud that I have the tools to help her. When I think of the judgement, the fear, the doubt, that we all experience, I like to remind myself that we can only meet people as far as they have met themselves. So if someone wants to judge or dislike you, it really does say more about what they are going through than it does about you. So in moments of challenge, when we feel the pull to be defensive or angry, or let the fear, judgement and doubt creep in, remember, none of us is perfect and compassion towards ourselves and others is the key to life See more

02.01.2022 Check out one of my favourite healthy winter warming dishes. Mushroom bolognese

01.01.2022 If you follow my insta stories, you’ll know I post a lot about my love of green juice and green smoothies. Green anything is a go to I’m working on my iron deficiency which funnily enough was low even before I went vegan, even when I loved steak Green juices and smoothies seriously make me feel so vibrant and amazing and I would love for others to get the amazing benefits of them too. And I know I sometimes sound like a trippy dippy hippy but I notice my energy dips when I’m not consistent with them. If you’re keen to try them out, start with a little handful of kale, spinach (leafy greens are an amazing source of vitamins), a few sticks of celery, a whole cucumber (for hydration) and a tiny bit of apple to sweeten....oh and don’t forget lemon to help absorb all of those greens
