21.01.2022 Dear SMCAA members, We have all experienced a long and difficult time. With drought across most of the country, floods, and tremendous bushfires followed by Covid-19, we have all suffered and will for some time yet. It is time for me to ask you for a contribution to our winter newsletter. With shows being cancelled there are no results to record, but everyone would be interested to hear how you have been affected in recent times. I’m sure there must be many interesting storie...s out there, which we would all love to hear about. There are several new members and it would be lovely if they would tell us a little about themselves, so that we can get to know them and make them welcome. This is the first newsletter I will have produced, and I would like to see it make us all aware of what has been happening in the Square Meaters world, and the problems being faced across the country. I would like it to give us an understanding of the hardships endured; people do care and would like to know. I would like to make our newsletter as interesting as possible, something we will all want to read, but I need your help for this. So, please, think about it, and send me your story. It doesn’t need to be much, and can be about whatever you like, and remember that photos are always a great addition. Some suggestions. How you and your farm and family have coped with drought/flood/bushfire/Coronavirus. How your cattle have been affected - eg Did they stand up well to drought? Family news. Cattle transfers. Health issues. New members For sale items. Something humorous to put a smile on our faces! Domvale Treasure is multiple award winning female all 7 of her offspring have been Royal Show champions for Vesco Square Meaters including Vesco Bobby Dazzler and Vesco Bell of the Ball both awarded Grand Champion Cow and Grand Champion Bull at the 2008 Brisbane Royal Show. 06.01.2022 THROW BACK THURSDAY Perth Royal Show 2012 Maureen Giglia (Life Member) with Meta Park Ezy Brush and a lovely calf at foot. The Brush line at Meta Park has produced many championship ribbons and still breeds on today.

06.01.2022 Hey everyone would love to see some of your autumn calves here’s some of mine pretty happy with their growth and progress in a pretty harsh winter. It was a heifer year with 15 heifers and 4 bull calves happy we used 3 bulls PR Kaos with 2 bull calves Meta Park Langton with 1 and one AI bull to Woolaringa Doug all progressing nicely. Let’s hope the spring calves bring on a few more bullies
