25.01.2022 The new pennants season is coming! The new Club Captain Will Sharp has the following message to everyone. Club fees are also being reduced to encourage new and returning pennant players. Pennants and League is back on start training now as the new seasons will begin the week of July 28. All new seasons will run through until the end of november/start of december. MSC will be subsidising most of the Pennant and League fees for 2020 to get as many players back to Competit...ion. Play as many Pennant and Leagues as youd like to nominate for. Ie Monday night, Wed Day league and Thursday night League All for $70 For all players invoiced earlier in the year please disregard these invoices as new invoices for $70 will be issued once we have received new nominations to play. For those who have paid, we will refund funds, excluding the $70. We are keen to start working on teams, please reply and let us know which Comps you would like to nominate for or if you would like info on any of the comps please let us know Monday Night Pennants (27th July -> 23rd November) Monday Night Ladies League (27th July -> 23rd November) Tuesday Night Pennants (28th July -> 24th November) Wednesday Day League (22nd July -> 2nd December) Thursday Night League (30th July -> 3rd December) If you would like to know more about any of the competitions please let us know. Keep in mind although we have 14 courts, we can only book out a maximum 10 (2 person per court) to stay under our 20 person limit. Players are still welcome to come down for a social hit but we wont be offering coaching for the time being. Hopefully we can find an alternative time of the week to offer group coaching.

22.01.2022 Hey all! Here are our Christmas and New Year’s trading hours at Squashworld Mirrabooka We will let you know if any changes occur!

22.01.2022 It's great to see heaps of people getting back on court and getting into some training, but we are also getting quite a few calls of people who would rather wait till we can play full games, which is ok because lets face it, games are fun! But there are a few benefits of returning to play by doing training routines for a few weeks at least before normal games can resume. It doesnt matter who you are, even a few weeks off court will hurt the day after, let alone 2 months Trai...ning routines are controlled, which helps you to re practice movements on court with a lower chance of injury. We cant return after 2 months off and expect to play at 100%! Training routines can be harder than some games. Some routines can be done continuously for several minutes, whilst some of our rallies might only go as long as 3 shots. So a great chance to build some endurance. Pressure sets with one of our coaches are harder again! We can still play condition games on court which adhere to physical distance requirements, a great chance to think differently and play shots you wouldnt normally think to play! If you are new to the concept of training, we have 2 sessions available every week that you can join in with for just $14. Saturday 12pm-1pm Monday 9.30am-10.30am And yes, both sessions running as per normal this long weekend!

21.01.2022 Phase 3 notice: Gameplay resumes and more from Saturday the 6th of June Gday all, Just had a chat with Kane and we have some great news! We can go back to playing unrestricted games of squash as of Saturday the 6th of June, yeeha! We are also allowed 100 people in the building at once. This also means we can return to all of our Social Squash programs including Wednesday Night League. Extra details below:... I have not heard anything definitive about pennants yet but Glenn Hitch, Dean Williams and the WA Squash team will be working towards getting those comps restarted too in the not so distant future. Other centre facilities will also be reopened for use. This includes use of the changerooms and showers, reopening of the club room bar (limited to 40 in the club room with 1.5m social distancing still in place throughout the centre, unless playing a game). We will still need to have a register for everyone who attends the centre including spectators so its very important that you sign in with your name at the counter. Saturday social @12pm, Monday Training @9.30am, King of the Court (Tuesday 7pm, Friday 5pm+6pm) will resume as normal from the 6th of June onwards. Wednesday Night League will restart with week number 5 on the 10th of June. If you cannot continue to play or will miss a week please contact us before then. If you cannot play out the rest of the comp for whatever reason well credit you the remaining weeks to your next round of Wednesday League. We appreciate your patience at this time. We are so glad we are well and truly on our way back to normal operations at Squashworld. Looking forward to seeing you down at the club soon! Cheers Tyron

17.01.2022 What a great turn out for our July school holiday junior Open Day! 13 4-7 year old little darlings came along to learn basic squash skills like agility, balance and hand/eye coordination, and 22 8-15 year olds also attended to learn skills, drills and game play. Congratulations to the kids who deservedly won a prize, and special thanks to the legends that helped make the day possible! Daniel Richardson, Leigh-Anne Shear Kaye, Tyron Holloway, Kane Fasolo, Tim Cowell, Serena Richardson, Pascale Louka, Erin and Dylan Classen and mum Jacqui Rong - you are all total rockstars!!

12.01.2022 WA MASTERS STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE The draw for the WA Masters State Championships should be available around lunch time today. Squashworld isn't running the event, only hosting it. Tyron may have a copy if you ask nicely haha You will be available to find it on WA Squash and WA Masters Squash websites as well as all participants will be emailed.... Friday King of the Court will take place as per normal, however all courts will be used for the tournament from 6.45pm on Friday night. Not all courts will be used by the tournament over the course of the weekend so casual bookings can take place but sat social has been canceled.

03.01.2022 So there will be a few updates to come out from us over the week when we get the full story of the relaxed restrictions. The first though is that a lot of the permanent bookings in our system haven't been removed during the closure and restricted reopening. All bookings will be left in as per normal from the 8th June onwards. If you don't show for your booking between the 8th-12th June, it will be removed and up to you to contact us again to rebook it or book it yourself onl...ine. If you would like to make a permanent weekly booking, get in contact with us and we can lock it in.
