19.01.2022 The Amazing Solar System is one of our new designs. This was a lot of fun to create, especially after brushing up on the planets with our four year old who makes me sing the planet songs (there's plenty on kids tube if you're curious ) This is available as a card and print if you have any fellow space enthusiasts with lots of rockets, spacemen and little details for them to enjoy

19.01.2022 Our cards and prints are all restocked at the wonderful HomeGrown Gifts in Sunbury, including all of our new designs. If you're in the area make sure you visit to support all the artists and creators who stock this vibrant little shop!

19.01.2022 Home Grown gift shop in Sunbury is a wonderful shop, supporting a wide range of local makers and doing their best in these uncertain times. If you need a gift for someone check out their new online store which is growing everyday and they can send it directly ! https://www.homegrowngifts.com.au/shop

19.01.2022 One thing that has emerged out of isolation is a fun project making birdhouses! Munchwood Turnings & Designs makes the birdhouses and I get to paint all the beautiful details on the house. They're a lot of fun, and it's actually hard to contain myself from going a bit over the top . We have one in our own garden and they're very popular with the birds, we have a tribe of sparrows that hang around twittering and enjoying themselves. They are being made to order so if you want one, just get in touch https://www.facebook.com/munchwoodturnings/

18.01.2022 Im taking a queue here from a wonderful Maltese artist Stephanie Borg Heres a link to her page - https://stephanieborg.com/colour-in-and-bright-up-your-day/ She had the lovely idea of providing free downloadable colouring in pictures for adults and kids alike in these uncertain times. Attached is a colouring in page called The Amazing Solar System - feel free to colour, paint, and enjoy! Please send back photos so i can see all the amazing work I will be posting more colouring pages over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

18.01.2022 Lighthouses are incredible structures - built where there are dangerous coastlines, perilous rocks, shoals or reefs - they represent safety, guidance, and salvation. They also symbolise the way forward, consistency, steadfastness, security, a light shining in the darkness, as well as strength. With everything going on at the moment with the Corona virus in the world, people in isolation, worried and nervous about getting through it all safely, a little bit of the hope, calmness and quiet strength that the lighthouse symbolises is needed x #staysafe #stayhome

17.01.2022 Something a bit different for the new year, I painted this love bird as a gift for someone who has a big generous heart who helps everyone and gives selflessly. Acrylic on a small black canvas. I really loved this style with the lines and patterns, it was a lot of fun to create.

15.01.2022 Practising my ink work before I get back into drafting a new lot of artworks. A quick Harry Potter themed ink practice with stippling and cross hatching which was really fun to create!

11.01.2022 A new artwork slowly taking shape and coming to life..... It's been a bit of an uphill battle with Victorian lockdowns this year and a house full of noise and activity, but I'm on the last leg of 10 new artworks.

10.01.2022 When your little furry friends want to get between you and your work I'm currently working on some new artworks while we're still in isolation - all in the early stages..(but I'll post soon!) I'd get there a bit faster without the "help" though...

09.01.2022 The collective noun for kookaburras is a flock or a riot. A riot of kookaburras is definitely more like it. There's nothing quite like hearing them laughing in the wild. This image is available as a both a print or a greeting card. The original was created in A3 acrylic paper with ink and goauche. Most importantly I hope these chattering happy birds bring a smile to your face in these uncertain times were in stay safe everyone.

09.01.2022 "Crashing the garden party".... I created this artwork because even though I know they can be a nuisance in places, I love seeing cockatoos in a big group making a total ruckus and lots of noise. I think they're such characters I really wanted to portray them like a bunch of unruly talkative guests at a party. The original was created on A3 Canson acrylic paper and is now available as a card or print.

08.01.2022 It's been a while in between markets for us and we're at the wonderful Chevron Market today until 2pm!!. Aside from all the wonderful goodies to buy there are farm animals and free face painting for the kiddie winks !

02.01.2022 I really wanted to create an Australian Christmas card this year to add to our collection. The idea of a eucalyptus with lots of different native animals creating a Christmas tree and holding the decorations was simple in my head, but a lot more work to create! The hard work and detail paid off to make this card our first to sell out entirely on its first print run! It will be available next year in the lead up to Christmas Thank you to all our amazing stockists, you are all a delight to visit and spend time with you. To everyone who has supported Squid Ink Art we cannot thank you enough. We also wanted to wish you all a very Merry and Safe Christmas. However you celebrate this time of year, enjoy and be kind to one another.

02.01.2022 Isolation lockdown part 2 here in Victoria has given me a chance to finish some side projects for my daughter's I started first time around in lockdown - some fun paintings that they wanted for their walls. All done with acrylic on canvas. Tones of glitter is still to be applied
