07.01.2022 Today I met over teleconference with local Indigenous community organisations and the Minister for Indigenous Australians Ken Wyatt about the important work the...se organisations are doing on the ground during this Coronavirus pandemic for the over 6,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community. It was an important discussion with the Minister about the challenges we are facing in our community, including disengagement from school, homelessness and mental health issues, and the practical steps we can take together.
