25.01.2022 We also needed to clad the roof to make it look a bit more shmick. We lined it with thing sheets of colourbond, then trimmed the edges with aluminium strips and angle. Came up a treat.

24.01.2022 After the removal of the previous fit out, we noticed the floor was in worse shape than originally thought. We used the plasma cutter to remove the warped sheet, added additional reinforcement in the floor to avoid the same thing occurring in the future and fully welded the thicker new plate, then gave it a splash of Basalt Grey paint to neaten it up.

24.01.2022 We designed this lockable fuel tank bracket for the local plumbers. They needed to be able to transport additional fuel to site for their machinery on the back of a ute. We made it easy to mount to the tray and lockable for that extra bit of security.

23.01.2022 Four packs of heavy duty mandrels being shipped off to a client. Roughly 125kg each. There are some sore bodies here after this job.

23.01.2022 We received an order for some trolleys to help local removalists. Two swinging doors with angle around the inside to accomodate for a wooden shelf. Another basic but efficient design.

23.01.2022 We got straight into this the second it arrived. Cut out the whole back end and began to weld in the initial reinforcements as well as tidy up the front with aluminium sheets and a decent fix to the draw bar.

23.01.2022 After confirming with Jack what he exactly had in mind, we went forward to create a fully opening back end to help with accessibility for when they fit it out and for general ease of use on event days.

22.01.2022 Reinforcing the floor was a big job as none of it was level let alone properly assembled. We got it nice and flat as well as structurally safe, ready for flooring. The front door needed to have the glass removed and supports added as well as have the lock replaced.

21.01.2022 Now this is something very different for us here at SRA. Jack came to us with this vintage food van explaining to us that he and his wife want to turn it into something special where they can serve spaghetti ice cream from at events. Keep your eye on this little project!

21.01.2022 This coin transportation truck came to us previously and required a custom fit out to house the coin boxes and bags safely during trips. After about 8 months, it returned for us to strip and fit out with an alternative setup as plans for this specific truck had changed. Time to get cutting!

21.01.2022 Step 2 involved the first test with all of the machinery and tools, which went great. A few small modifications need to be made as well as making a trolley for additional storage.

21.01.2022 Here's a job we completed a while ago. Another trolley designed for a removalist company but instead of mesh, we made it completely lockable with sheet all around for safe storage and transport of precious items. It has removable shelves to cater for various sized items.

20.01.2022 If we can’t fix it, we’ll replicate the original and even tweak it to better suit the job. Apparently we do windmill parts now, go figure!

19.01.2022 We received an order for some trolleys to help local removalists. Two swinging doors with angle around the inside to accomodate for a wooden shelf. Another basic but efficient design.

18.01.2022 The ice cream van has returned for additional modifications. This time we were asked to make the middle sliding window pop out, much like the back. We got into it right away.

17.01.2022 Adjustable arms were built to allow for variable coin boxes to be transported with chain to keep them in place safely. Custom coin stillages and a mobile trolley were made and fitted. Lastly, removable protection bars fitted into the floor in front of each door to prevent any poorly strapped boxes or stillages from exiting the vehicle when the truck is moving. One very labour intensive job!

16.01.2022 A caravan manufacturer needed some logistical help with getting chassis moved around their warehouse with ease, so we made these tandem axel track trolleys. With special V groove wheels on one end, they follow along a special track (which we also provided) that allows easy manoeuvrability.

15.01.2022 One of five seriously heavy duty racks we recently received an order for.

14.01.2022 We were approached by a supplier of powered scissor lift tables who wanted us to modify one of their stock standard units to suit a client’s needs. We extended the base width, added sides and ramps on the ends then went onsite to fit it. All parties loved it. Another unique job done and dusted.

14.01.2022 A local concrete polishing and resurfacing business came to us to get two ramps for their machinery fixed. Originally they were mesh with very little reinforcing underneath. We figured that welding 3mm checker plate back on would best suit their purpose. Painted matte black and off they go.

12.01.2022 So apparently our last batch of trolleys are quite popular. We received an order for 40! These first ten are out the door and on the move.

11.01.2022 A simple custom gas cylinder cage built and fitted for a client in St Kilda.

11.01.2022 Were looking at selling a truck tail lift. If anyone is interested or knows someone who could make use of this, feel free to send us a message! Its taking up space and we would like to move it on.

10.01.2022 Four packs of heavy duty mandrels being shipped off to a client. Roughly 125kg each. There are some sore bodies here after this job.

09.01.2022 Step 1 of this fit out involved installing a set of aluminium ramps to be used as tracks for the road saw. A frame was fitted to the wall to hold the covers, a stand fitted to the side for the saw blades then a mesh frame to store the cores and miscellaneous pieces.

08.01.2022 So apparently our last batch of trolleys are quite popular. We received an order for 40! These first ten are out the door and on the move.

08.01.2022 We were sent another mandrel trolley fix and modify. This one was a mess all around. The first photo is a prime example of poor quality workmanship. It was more cost effective for our client to go ahead and order a brand new trolley, so we went on to make one with a few structural adjustments. Gave it a yellow paint job and off it went.

08.01.2022 Busy busy busy.

08.01.2022 A basic stillage designed for storing and transporting tyres.

07.01.2022 30 more tandem axel track trolleys out the door.

07.01.2022 The finished product. Surprisingly, a lot of R&D went into making this fit out stay light but strong enough to keep the equipment safe and secure. Additional tie down points were added as well as mesh panels to the foot wells to create small basket style storage compartments. The ramps slide down the side of the road saw when finished. This was a good learning experience for all of us.

07.01.2022 Another old job. Two different sized mobile work benches to help staff in the warehouse.

06.01.2022 We received an order for a trolley to help transport paperwork between a clients offices. A basic but efficient design.

05.01.2022 Been very busy for LT Plumbing lately. They recently purchased a brand new Toyota Hiace that they wanted fitted out to accomodate their road saw, core drill, all of the additional attachments as well as a few extras. Keep an eye on this space for its progress!

05.01.2022 Another caravan manufacturer contacted us to see if we would be able to fix and modify some of their equipment. This mandrel trolleys base and mandrel needed to be extended 200mm so longer rolls of plastic could fit properly. After a quick cut and weld, we gave it a coat of yellow to finish it off.

04.01.2022 We replaced the heavy glass with a single panel of clear polycarbonate and modified the original frame to keep it streamlined. It now pops out with ease. Another custom job out the door with a happy customer.

03.01.2022 We used as much of the original aluminium skin and trims as possible to try and keep the original look of this now ice cream van. Tail lights were installed and it was ready to be picked up. I am told Jack and his wife are over the moon with how it turned out and are keen to get this thing up and running. We had a lot of fun with this job, something different here and there is always a nice change of pace.

02.01.2022 Heres a quick video of our tandem axel track trolleys in use!

01.01.2022 We had a small excavator bucket come in to have the huge hole repaired. After plasma cutting around the damaged area, we welded in stronger plate and gave it a quick squirt back to its original colour.

01.01.2022 Another job for LT Plumbing. Some of their site equipment was a bit heavy and awkward to haul around for each job, so we designed some rather moon-buggy inspired trolleys to help move gear around with ease. Fitted with big puncture proof wheels, these things go through mud super easy.
