22.01.2022 TWENTY years have passed since the beginning of NATO aggression against #Serbia (then Federal Republic of #Yugoslavia), when at least 2,500 civilians were kille...d and more than 12,500 people were injured during the 78 days of bombing. Attacks on Serbia began on 24 March 1999, and the last attack took place on 10 June, at 13.15 near Kosovska Kamenica. About 1,008 members of the army and police were killed or disappeared, of which 659 members of the military and 349 police officers. About 6,000 civilians were seriously or lightly injured, including 2,700 children. Total damage is estimated at tens of billions of dollars. NATO war losses in manpower and technology have never been disclosed. Yugoslavia was invaded on the pretext that it's the one to blame for the failure of the talks in #Rambouillet and #Paris on the future status of its southern province of #Kosovo and #Metohija. After the National Assembly of Serbia confirmed the decision to reject the deployment of foreign troops in Serbia, 19 NATO member countries began the air strikes on Serbia on 24 March 1999 at 19.45 without the approval of the United Nations Security Council. The bombing destroyed and damaged about 25,000 houses, it damaged 470 kilometers of roads and 595 kilometers of railways, 14 airports, 19 hospitals, 20 health centers, 18 kindergartens, 69 schools, 176 cultural monuments and 44 bridges, while 38 were destroyed. NATO launched 1,300 cruise missiles, threw over 37,000 "cluster bombs" which killed around 200 people and injured hundreds, and used a prohibited ammunition with depleted uranium. No one was held responsible for these crimes till present day. ------------------- Данас се навршава 20 година од почетка НАТО агресие на Србиу, односно тадашу СР, када е током 78 дана убиено намае 2500 а раено и повреено више од 12 500 уди. Напади на Србиу започели су 24. марта 1999. године, а последи напад догодио се 10. уна, у 13.15 недалеко од Косовске Каменице. Погинуло е, или нестало, 1008 припадника воске и полицие, од чега е 659 припадника воске, а 349 припадника полицие. Теже и лакше раено око 6000 цивила, меу има 2700 деце. Укупна материална штета процеена е на више десетина милиарди долара. Ратни губици НАТО у удству и техници никада нису обелодаени. СР е нападнута под изговором да е кривац за неуспех преговора у Рамбуеу и Паризу о будуем статусу покраине Косово и Метохиа. Након што е одлуку о неприхватау страних трупа потврдила Скупштина Србие, коа е предложила да снаге УН надгледау мировно решее сукоба на Косову, 19 земаа чланица НАТО е без одобреа Света безбедности УН 24. марта 1999. у 19.45 часова започео ваздушне ударе крстареим ракетама и авиациом на више подруча Србие и Црне Горе. У бомбардовау е уништено и оштеено 25.000 стамбених обеката, онеспособено 470 километара путева и 595 километара пруга. Оштеено е 14 аеродрома, 19 болница, 20 домова здрава, 18 дечих вртиа, 69 школа, 176 споменика културе и 44 моста, док е 38 разорено. НАТО е лансирао 1300 крстареих ракета, изручио 37 000 касетних бомби од коих е погинуло око 200 особа, а раено више стотина, и употребио забраену мунициу са осиромашеним ураниумом.
