25.01.2022 #Hornsby NSW SES receive two new vehicles. Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliot and NSW SES Commissioner Carlene York today handed the keys t...o a brand new Light Storm Vehicle and General Purpose vehicle to volunteers at Hornsby SES. The NSW State Emergency Service's fleet replacement program has been funded by the government with a record $56.4M funding over four years. The program will ensure NSW SES volunteers are well equipped, well trained and well prepared to respond to floods, storms and rescues wherever they might occur. The vehicles will be a very much welcomed addition to the unit, especially as we ‘Get Ready’ for Storm Season said Deputy Unit Commander Chris Mawn. The NSW SES provides services to the community through the dedication and commitment of more than 9,500 volunteers. Each volunteer Unit uses equipment and vehicles, owned and managed by the NSW SES. To deliver on the NSW SES Mission, NSW SES Saving Lives and Protecting Communities, the provision of safe and reliable assets is crucial.
