12.01.2022 JobKeeper 2.0. Plus The first tranche of JobKeeper ended on 27 September 2020. Those needing further support will need to reassess their eligibility and prove an actual decline in turnover. To receive JobKeeper from 28 September 2020, eligible employers need to assess their decline in turnover with reference to actual GST turnover for the September 2020 quarter (for JobKeeper payments between 28 September to 3 January 2021), and again for the December 2020 quarter (for paymen...ts between 4 January 2021 to 28 March 2021). This decline needs to be in excess of 30%. From 28 September 2020, the JobKeeper payment rate will reduce and split into a higher and lower rate based on the number of hours the employee worked in a specific 28 day period prior to 1 March 2020 or 1 July 2020. Those who have worked more than 80hours in the 28 pay period will receive the $1,200 subsidy, otherwise they will receive the $750 subsidy for next JobKeeper period ending on 3 January 2021. For Eligible Business Participants, they will need to satisfy the 80 hours on active engagement for the month of February 2020. Once again the $1,200 subsidy will apply for those who worked more than 80 hours, otherwise they will receive the $750 subsidy for next JobKeeper period ending on 3 January 2021. To access JobKeeper payments from 28 September 2020, there are three questions that need to be assessed: Is my business eligible? Am I and/or my employees eligible? and What JobKeeper rate applies? Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact our office on (02) 6752 9700
