21.01.2022 Small clip of the last session for term 1. Thank you to all coaches, players and parents. See you all next term. Happy Easter

19.01.2022 Passing and volley drill very basic with RHYTHM... Making sure we have a long run with service from the hands, 2 reasons why: 1; The parent can give appropriate service to speed up or slow down the drill without needing to have feet.... 2; The longer the run the more touches and opportunity to find RHYTHM Both feet is a MUST.....

19.01.2022 First thought when watching will be WHY BAREFOOT!!!!! What Ive found when young players 5-10 years old are starting out or progressing through beginner to intermediate ball mastery is the real need to actually feel the pure ball.... I would say training barefoot in the backyard yard is as close to having the feel of an indoor ball at your feet. YES the yard isnt a true surface like indoor or artificial but the feel and confidence when learning a skill or a simple roll is quickened. Ive also added some small receiving movement variations. You dont need much space. So for all players in my program Ive put a short video together for you to work on and Ill be posting more as the isolation continues. Please note parents you will see some beginner techniques towards the end slowed down and quickened up, Ill also post a small clip of my youngest who is 5 years controlling and moving so dont underestimate them as theyre sponges right now.

19.01.2022 Registrations OPEN for term 2. Our 8 week programs has produced many SAP players this season. Positions will be finalised within the next week.

18.01.2022 First time fun ISO Easter challenge.... see how many you can do. TRY IT OUT

17.01.2022 Loving that wide gate movement to sell the opponent without touching the ball. Exaggerating the skill with hips and dropping of the shoulder makes life difficult for defenders whilst being able to explode out of the skill............ Adding sole skill and plenty of touches to play out of tighter situations all adding tools to make good decisions with confidence..

16.01.2022 Congratulations to young Theo whos been involved in our program for 2 years. Theos always challenged himself and others around him to improve. His attitude and application at training has always been of the highest quality. Most importantly its been the countless times Ive seen Theo outside of the program at the local park with his father working on his game. Congratulations Theo, you are a reflection of your parents. #baller

15.01.2022 SRW: MISTAKES and persistence. We may be on holidays but we can also keep things fun and work on our own skills even if its 15-20min. Keep it fun and let the kids enjoy and express themselves. Theyll make mistakes but in the end theyll surprise you! After all we are parents and we need to keep it fun for our kids to enjoy and express themselves... Register for next term at www.srwfootballcoaching.com.au Spots are almost done.

15.01.2022 Iso drill for 8 and 9 yrs, 2 combinations!!!! You can add 2 or 3 more once mastered. Not an easy drill using both feet. Have a go and enjoy [email protected]

14.01.2022 SRW: Dear Parents, CHANGES happening in 2019. 8 WEEK PROGRAM + ADDING SQUADS Into TOURNAMENTS. EXISTING players will be grouped subject to myself. Those players I feel still need help to enhance their basic fundamental SKILLS will be grouped to their needs. We need to help these young players get to the level they need to move into SAP programs in the area. This may mean your child in the 6pm - 7pm class may be pushed down to the 5pm - 6pm class.... EXISITING players and NEW ENROLMENTS that are training in the 6pm classes will be hand picked by myself to continue with the program. All these decisions will be made with close consideration to ATTITUDE, ATTENTION, SKILL LEVEL and MATURITY. Sessions will there for run more fluently without disruption and time wasting. We have PRODUCED many SAP players this year which we are proud of, and in order to get better results moving forward I need to make changes for the better of all involved. Please dont get offended or think your child is being placed in groups that cant make the next step as we have proven already with exisiting players that players are maturing at different stages for progression into SAP. Please Private message myself for returning players. I will then consider where your child will be placed. I cannot accommodate times at this stage, if you have more than one sibling at different ages and footballing ability. This may mean parents will have to work out if they can make the commitment to stay for both sessions. Looking forward to working with each and everyone of you again. Hope all had a great Christmas and be safe over the NEW YEAR. Flyers will be out for Term 1 shortly which will commence in Milperra, starting 1st of February. Warm Regards Shane Webb Founder of SRW football coaching. 0432378109 [email protected]. Insta: #linktsportsmanagement.

14.01.2022 Hoping the lockdown will be lifted in the near future so we can all get back to academy training very soon. In the meantime here’s another drill broken down into 3 sections for ball mastery. Again no only 2 cones and a ball - First drag with an instep pushing the ball into a forward motion remembering not to be lazy with this one and our hips need to swivel in order to change direction.... - Add on; Same drag adding an instep cut behind the brace leg. This is constantly rotated using your strongest foot only. Again our brace foot needs to spring slightly forward when dragging ball behind. - Last add on is tricky using both feet with an instep drag either side of the cone. You’ll find the instep drag on the weaker foot harder if your brace foot stays planted. It needs to skip forward which will become natural with practice. Try it out!

14.01.2022 Thank you #McGrath #HeberDeCavalho. Cousins at SRW doing the work.

14.01.2022 Congratulations SD Raiders player Luka Broardbent on winning player of the year. Another great achievement for this young talented player.

13.01.2022 Iso drill perfect for close ball control with a cushioned first touch to set ourselves up for our next move! the most important touch in any situation Again no need for a lot of equipment or area for this drill and we can do 3 x 5 sets with a rest period in between for quality. Try it out and enjoy

13.01.2022 Enjoying our younger group of players before our advanced class.

13.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing all the players, it’s been to long

12.01.2022 To all the Mothers

12.01.2022 Nice to see some of the SRW players and parents today at St Christophers home ground. #vibes #culture #winninggames Looking forward to next term.

10.01.2022 Registrations now OPEN for term 4. Skill development ( ball manipulation ) Only 5 positions available until registrations close.... Register at www.srwfootballcoaching.com.au Positions currently being filled. Positions will be capped.

09.01.2022 Our 8-10 year old players heres a skill drill designed to use your hips and backside to cuddle the ball and change direction whilst evading an opposing player. Weve added a double skill in the video for variation and slowed down both to show the instep turn and Maradona spin. The same process can be done with the outside of the foot. Work on the skills with BOTH feet to master.

08.01.2022 1 of the goals from Saturdays game against Wetherill Park. Fast game. Play hard, always moving, nice finish getting forward. SRW

08.01.2022 Great performance by the boys today. Winning the semi final 8-1 only to go down 8-4 in the final. Super effort. Big shout to Luka Broardbent who broke his arm during the season. Looking forward to having him back.

07.01.2022 Thank you Mark Broadbent, great prospect for any youth A league club in the coming year.

06.01.2022 To all the Mother’s

06.01.2022 Players are working hard to improve two sessions into Term 1

06.01.2022 New Legea Tracksuits available to purchase from our website. www.srwfootballcoaching.com.au

05.01.2022 Isolation drill.... Different scenarios with a player on our back. Well start off with an easy drag half turn so you can get a visual of a player moving off his opponent to give that split second to make a quick decision. You wont be given to much space in real game time so we need quick feet with repetition. Remember everything is pedestrian and we have no support players but we can improvise with some gates. Equipment not needed it can all be done with cones. You can spend a solid hour just on these variations.

05.01.2022 So for our young players especially the 5-6 year olds here is a perfect drill to add the technique needed for an in step pass, top of the foot strike and control of the ball ect... A simple training tool with plenty of touches will give them both feet and a foundation to build on. More to come ... Stay safe stay home

04.01.2022 Registrations now OPEN for term 4. Only 7 positions available until registrations close. Register at www.srwfootballcoaching.com.au... Positions currently being filled. Positions will be capped. See more

01.01.2022 PARENTS please keep the kids touching the ball whilst were in isolation not only does it help them stay in touch whilst in lockdown but we can keep them active in between home schooling. Heres another small drill for the 4-6 year olds. A basic changing of direction with an added strike on goal then moving through some ladders for balance. You can vary your movements through the ladders with hops and steps. Make sure were praising them for the effort. If you dont have ladders you can improvise with cones.
