24.01.2022 Due to our inability at this stage to only show the actual Sundays that we have a calendar shoot, we have removed club opening hours. We at this stage will continue to open on the first and third Sundays until October when we will change over to the 2nd and third Sundays to allow the shift workers on a 7-7 roster to make at least 1 shoot a month.

23.01.2022 At this stage the range will be open from 0900 to 1300 on Saturday the 26th. Range 2 will be open allowing a full centre fire template. I will post here should anything change to prevent the range from opening.

22.01.2022 Small group today but we continued and shot the matches for practice for the 2-day with Sarina coming up soon. 3 shooters shot Duelling and 2 stayed for benchrest practice. Scores in duelling dripped with rust but we should get better with practice. Dennis 253/300 Lloyd 249/300... Tony 237/300 We need to pick up our act to repel the Sarina gang. Benchrest scores were not taken but let's just say that waaaaaaay too many black rings were hit or outside of. Next weekend we will be working on painting the firing line and competitor bays on range 5 ready for the return shoot as well as various other smaller jobs. The range "may" be open on Sunday. 22.01.2022 The big weekend is over for this year with Clermont coming out victorious in the duelling challenge. When I can track down some photos without Ron B doing the rabbit ears I will post them. We ended up with 20 shooters, 6 from our club, and two juniors who we couldn't claim as members yet! Then Sarina supplied 12 shooters. Everyone seemed to have a great weekend with good food, friendly competition and some good laughs. Places were spread around and the pick of the table went down well. We have identified a couple of things we can do better for next year given the "COVID" is over. The upgrade to the facilities went down well with visitors. Winning team for Clermont was Dennis, Christine and Lloyd beating Ron, John and Tod. Bring on the Anzac challenge!!!

20.01.2022 Results for today. We had 5 shooters for the morning for pistol. Waz, Pete, Chris, Elsie and myself shot 3 P core a couple of times. Scores are as follows. Also I got to have a look at a Lithgow Woomera in 6.5 Creedmore. Thanks Waz. The scores show the rust that has set during the COVID plague.

18.01.2022 Ok I believe there is tragic out there that wants to become one with his Gredel so range 2 will be open tomorrow from 9 to 1pm. If there is anyone out there that wants to get a pistol shoot in let me know which day would be better Sunday or Monday (public holiday). And yes Flora you can come to he may need supervision.

17.01.2022 Another good day at the range today with a successful fire arms safety course run. The range has had 10mm of rain since 1600 hours so tomorrow might be a little greasy. We will be shooting the other half of the Duelling match tomorrow, .22 at 25 meters single handed 5 shots in 5 minutes with 6 strings. Then we will have an open rifle session with what ever you want. A couple of us are hoping to shoot our 6.5's depending on the weather. Until we catch you again tight groups.

This is for 1 module, for example AB. If you want to do H it would be extra. Juniors are cheaper and any SSAA member is entitled to a discount. Course breakdown of costs are $99.00 for the course and $11.00 for lunch, smoko's, tea coffee and 1 soft drink or bottled water. Course numbers will be limite...d to 15. To have your spot reserved you will need to ring and register, book in and pay a deposit. You will need to be at the club by 0730 for a 0800 start. Bring with you photo ID, closed in shoes, a USI number and enough cash as we DON'T have EFTPOS. 17.01.2022 The club will be open between 0930 and 1300 on Sunday the first of November. Should no one attend by 1030 the range will be closed prior to the advertised closing time. Range 5 a 50m rimfire rifle and pistol range will be opened as well as range 2 a 100m centre fire rifle range.

13.01.2022 We will be holding a 2 day shoot with Sarina this weekend so the range will not be available for casual shooting. We are a bit outnumbered as Sarina is bringing about 16 shooters and we can only field 6. Lucky we have home ground advantage and control of the scoring as well. Saturday will start with a lever match, then rim fire bench rest and finally combined trainer rifle pistol on Saturday arv. Sunday starts with duelling pistol, single handed at 25m, then finishing with 4 combined services pistol matches at 15 and 25m. History shows this as the 3rd year of the shoot and the score is 1 all. Let the games begin!

10.01.2022 Good afternoon all. The range will be open on Sunday morning about 0915 through to the afternoon. Range 2 will be open, full template, for those wanting to shoot centre fire rifle. We will also be shooting a pistol match for those needing to get a shoot up.

Pistol 1/2 target pistol 900 match either rim or centre fire Rifle raining rifle Match 23 rapid fire 15th of November (possible Sat arvo/Sun morning shoot with BBQ) Pistol 3P core event Rifle rim fire metallic silhouette 22nd of November Pistol 25m CSD matches Rifle Lever action at 100-75-50m 12th of December Pistol rifle novelty events for Christmas shoot. The dates marked as possible Sat/Sun shoots will be firmed up as soon as possible.

05.01.2022 Just a note to inform everyone that the course for the 19th of September is booked out. We will be looking at another course 4-5 weeks from this one.

04.01.2022 A good day at the club today with a working bee to get ready for the 2 day. Tony and Dennis did the line marking and Pete and I ran cables for the lights under the new shed and power and light for the tool shed. We also fitted a whirly bird to the tool shed. Thanks to JJ's for the line marker and Tony Pete and Dennis for the hand and Christine and Frances for lunch.

02.01.2022 The club will NOT be open this weekend. We have moved the shoots to the 14/15 and the 22nd of November due to a lack of RO's due to circumstances beyond our control. We apologise for any inconvenience.
