21.01.2022 Good morning all. I know everyone is super excited and hanging to get shooting again as much as we all are! We have received advice from the Australian Government as well as SSAA in regards to what requirements we have to meet if we wish to open to resume shooting. We are working through these requirements (some of which we meet, some of which we need to implement) to be able to open as soon as we can while remaining compliant and safe for you all.... Some of the changes we need to make are going to take a small amount of time, so please bear with us. We are working on a calendar for resuming shooting, and will be sharing that with you all shortly. We are also looking at when we can resume firearms safety courses safely as well. Thanks everyone for your patience with this, we will see you all very soon!!!

21.01.2022 Good luck to all the Sunshine Coast shooters competing in the Metallic Silhouettes Nationals competitions this weekend!

16.01.2022 Grab that Air Rifle and come on down to the range this Sunday. We are hosting the Zone 3 Air Rifle Champs this Sunday so join in the fun. Silhouettes in the morning, lunch followed by 10m in the arvo. Everyone is welcome. Nomination fees included lunch, non shooters $8. Curious? Wonder out and take a look!... NB: The range will be closed to public shooting for the whole day.

15.01.2022 Despite holding on as long as we possibly could, as of today, we are having to close the range for all shooting until further notice. THIS IS EFFECTIVE FOR ALL SHOOTING ACTIVITIES IMMEDIATELY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. All other ranges are having to do the same. ... Thanks to all you our members for your support, and we are as sad as you that it had to come to this. Everyone stay safe, wash your hands, and we will see you as soon as possible!

15.01.2022 Hi all. Please be advised that our range will not be open today at this stage. The storms last night have resulted in damage at the complex, access issues and most importantly no power in the area. Without power we cannot operate the range in accordance with our safety protocols and until we at least get that restored there will be no shooting.

11.01.2022 A total of 6 for the working bee!!! Huge Thanks to those 6

11.01.2022 Morning all. Just a heads up to everyone. Our resident plovers have decided to nest on the range. In their usual style they have chosen a fairly inconvenient spot. We ask that people take care and do not touch or attempt to move the eggs. ... They are situated on the top of the 40m mound just above the chook house.

11.01.2022 Firstly, the committee would like to thank everyone for their patience in these wonderful times we’ve found ourselves in. We understand the frustrations all of us have around not being able to shoot, and as you will see from the details below, there has been a lot of works in the background to get us to this point. So without further ado, we have the pleasure to announce that we will be re-opening the Q14 range for shooting! Obviously there are a lot of rules and regulations ...Continue reading

11.01.2022 Hi all. Please be aware that we have a friendly visitor in the way of a small Spotted Python that has taken up residence in the store room on the air / rimfire range. These snakes are NON-VENOMOUS so please leave him / her alone as they are a great help at reducing the mouse population. Do not attempt to move or handle it as wild specimens can range anywhere from placid to snappy and if one latches on to you it can be extremely painful and the bite can become infected quite quickly. If it is still in residence this coming Sunday and causing issues then I will arrange for my snake catcher mate to come out and move it professionally so as no harm is done to the animal. The photo below shows the animal with what appeared to be 3 mice in his belly.

06.01.2022 Hi all. Just a quick note to let you know that there will be no Air Rifle Competition this Sunday the 4th of October 2020 at SSAA Sunshine Coast. Unfortunately our range officers and shoot captains are unavailable to attend the range due to other commitments.
